    Doesn't surprise me. Big men get big contracts. That's life in the NBA, and don't be surprised if Scola picks up similar interest next year when he becomes a free agent.

    Gasol, Thabeet, Mihm, Haddadi, Darko.

    Lets go Memphis; collect more 7' so you can send them to the Fakers.

    Wallace = dumb. He is gonna bench Gasol or Thabeet. I'll personally take either over David Lee.

    They already have a good number of big men, Arthur, Gasol, Gay, Haddadi, Mihm, Thabeet, etc. Why another one? Wouldnt it make sense to go for a shooter?

    there is a reason why the grizzlies will remain the grizzlies


    maybe its just me but i think lee could have been had for 5years/45 million


    lee is a good hard working player but his stats were inflated in the NY system

    i am not saying he cant avg a double double elsewhere but he is not worth the 12million/year that memphis is looking to throw at him


    is this why they cleared up all that space?

    To make the whole thing worse, they have Thabeet at C, Gasol at PF. Thats a really nice looking lineup. Don't need to pay 12m for backup or delay the development of either promising big man

    Sounds like the Rockets should take Thabeet or Gasol off their hands if the Rockets don't land Gortat. Or maybe they should ask about them anyway :)

    Someone didn't learn the value of the dollar after Brian Cardinal.

    Lee's great for the $7M range, but $12M per is redamndickuless

    They'd be far better off sending a TE for a legit, if overpaid, star.

    They should save that money for a better player.. they will be paying the consequences for this one down the road.

    I'll believe it when I see it. One of the cheapest franchises in the NBA giving a 60M deal to someone, Lee is pretty good but for 12M I want someone that can defend.
