I was reading Chris Anderson (6-10) is an available free agent. He has played well for the Nuggets and always shows alot of heart when he's out on the court. Kind of reminds me of Deke (just a little bit), wondering why there hasn't been a thread or interest in him. stats
If there hasn't been a thread, it's probably because the Nuggets have made it clear that re-signing Andersen is at the top of their to-do list. Thus making it extremely unlikely that we could sign him.
I lived in Boulder the first time he played for Denver. People there love him more than any other player. No way will they let him get picked up by another team. Plus, he's such trash, I wouldn't want him on our team anyway.
I had to watch his junk every Nugs game I went to for a few years, probably attending 3 dozen games and watching the rest on TV. I think I've earned the right to voice my opinion on him.
ic ic...thanks for the info. It would still be great if Morey could pull it off. Seems like we are pursuing Gortat anyways.
Do you know him? Of course not. Chris is a good guy, but you would not know that because you don't know him. It is easy to talk about someone you don't know. If you ever had the chance to sit down and talk to him you would not say that. I think that Chris would be a great addition to this team, but there is no way the Nuggets let him go. They made it to the west finals and he was a huge part of making that happen.
I was surprised we didn't take a chance on him when he came back from his suspension. It seemed like a super low risk/high reward guy. Actually, he is much better than I expected him to be so I'm even more upset we didn't pick him up.
^this and i think espn/abc ran a spot on andersen on how going to denver was really good for him and his rehab and that he wants to stay there for that reason. andersen was huge for denver this year they will have to keep him for that reason alone and then on top of that he is a HUGE fan favorite
he got kicked out of the league for a few years for drug use. The first genius to manage that since 1999. He still looks like a junky. Do not want.
I think he's from Houston, right? I've always liked his game because he's extremely athletic for his size and he's a great shot blocker. Also, he plays with high intensity every moment he's on the court. I know about the off the court issues, but he gives it his all on the court. I, for one, would love to have him. Do you think that his hometown would be enough of a draw to get him away from Denver?
backup center? who's our starting center? plus the guy is too old. from this point on the rockets shouldn't acquire a player over the age of 25 unless he comes with a player under the age of 25 or a draft pick.
i'd love birdman on this team he's one of my fav players and hustles all the time even though he does get foul happy. He's from Iola, TX and went to Blenn junior college and likes to hang out in Huntsville, BUT Denver loves him i doubt he's leaving.
