When they wouldn't let Calvin Murphy get his job back when he was found innocent.

memo to the Rockets, don't treat your hall of famers who spend 30+ years with the organization like trash.

It's Tmac's fault. As long as he's with this team, he will curse everyone.

Who else could we have drafted? Nikoloz Tskitishvili? Chris Wilcox? We woldn't have drafted Amare since CD never wanted to take a HS player **cough Rashard Lewis cough**. Coming into his rookie season Yao was a walking stick weighing in at about 290, and was healthy for the early part of his career. McGrady wasn't absolutely injury prone when we traded for him only missing about six games a year and played only 67 games the year before coming to Houston because he gave up on Orlando. You got to remember what a great deal that was though, Steve Francis was coming off the WORST year thus far in his career due to the half court offense of JVG only averaging 16.6 points per game! We traded McGrady coming to the Rockets as a 2 time scoring champion and flourished (somehwhat) in JVG's offense while SF's career went down the tubes.

Yao was and technically still is the greatest thing that has happened to the Rockets since The Dream period. all the international glory that has been given to us wouldn't have ever happened.

And I can also say that we wouldn't have won over 50 games for the first time in 8 years if T-mac wasn't here, that incredible dunk over Bradley, and 13 in 33 wouldn't have happened if T-mac wasn't here.

Eras have to end sooner or later, and all signs just point that this will be the end of both, things happen for a reason.

    It's just pure luck.

No ne really, T-Mac was already having back problems towards the end of his Orlando stint.

I have all the respect for Dawson, however his decision to start the Ming/Mac dynasty did this to us.

We were on the way up with Yao/Francis/Mobley lineup. We made the playoffs for the first time in years. It would have been amazing to see what that team could have achieved in the last 6 years.

Now don't bring up how Francis and Mobley have turned out. They still would have had enough seasons with us to turn us into an elite team before Mobley's heart condition took its toll. Also, had Francis played more with Yao, he would have developed into a playmaking PG (which he slowly did in that 2nd season with Yao). It's like Billups who was a scoring PG and he changed his game to be the player he is now.

One other reason for the misfortunes,, JVG. He is a great defensive mind, and will forever be a lover of the Rockets, and I love him for that, but what did his style of coaching bring us on the offensive end? I at least appreciate that we were one of the best defensive teams this decade.

    1) Not keeping Chucky Brown and Mark Bryant as our twin towers
    2) Not signing Ryan bowen to a multi-year deal
    3) Not developing V-Span and making him become our Chris Paul

    seriously...

    1) Passing up Reshard Lewis for Michael Dickerson, Mirsad Turkcan and Bryce Drew....It started there...seriously, WTF

I think our team doctors suck. Injuries are the part of games. But the way doctors treat injuries really influenced our team. I am thinking now that we all misunderstood Tmac. He was right about his injury and absolutely made a good decision to extent his career by not following our team doctors.

As a five-year rockets fan, I think the trigger is :

    Mr. Francis.
no francis -> no 1. draft -> no yao
no francis -> no T.mac trade -> no JVG -> no win-now mode (esp. draft is unhelp for win-now) -> yes Gay

where is the time cop? SB is flirtting time channel.

Anyway, tomorrow is a new day, 2010 is coming!

Uniforms without a doubt. When I first heard the news back then, my immediate thought was, "uh-oh."
