[Yahoo] Rockets could lose Yao for season—or longer

I am very depressed and fustrated as a lifelong Rockets fan but this is an oppurtunity to truly revamp the team and see what Morey can do...Teams will be knocking down Morey's door to see what becomes avilable and there could be some key pieces that the Rockets can get for the future while keep this team competitve.

 

Not when we got Morey at the helm.

 

this will be his test. if he builds a contender from this mess, he's a freaking hero.

 

I just hope IF the Rockets do decide to trade Tmac this year, that they don't take back stupid, longer contracts and sorry filler players for him. That will only set us back further.

If your gonna trade him, trade him for younger talented players. However, most sensible teams won't do that, unless it is for financial reasons.

I say we keep him, let him do what he can this year, let him off the books next season, and the ROCKETS choose who they WANT, instead of having to take crap along with maybe one decent player.

Its not worth it to get rid of him, and jeopardize our future flexibility in the biggest free agent class in a long time...

Hopefully the Rockets are smart about this...Why take back crap when you could get 1 or 2 of those names listed above in your own terms next summer?

 

It's funny that ESPN.com hasn't picked up the story yet. Maybe they are thinking this news is not fake enough.

 

Trade Yao for Al Jefferson and Rubio or Trade McGrady to Cleveland for Biz Z and fillers. Or you can do both trades and call it a day. You lose the Chinese endorsements but you gain the Spanish endorsements. You get a center with Big Z or Al Jefferson your choice and a possible filler in Delonte West or who ever.

 

All we need to do is keep tmac and bring in Amare'. Mac will hopefully play like he did before and amare wont be injured. hopefully the suns are smart enough to realize that both these teams aren't going anywhere. its the perfect time for a move, especially since its the off season

 

Sure will. I think he can do it but also as said, Yao will be [if its career ending] a tough replacement.

 

Its already said, do you think ESPN wants Yahoo as a source of where they got info? Theyre probably waiting for their sources to confirm it.

they should have it by now in the Houston Chronicle. they have no problem crediting a hometown paper with a breaking story like this.

Hope the organization is faking this. Maybe word got leaked out by the one of the NBA executive accusing Houston faking Yao injury causing the CNT to question the credibility of the injury. So maybe Houston organization have to come up with something this severe to make it sound legit and get the CNT off their and Yao's back.

 

It was reasonable to believe this during draft night, but at this point, we all know it's more than that.

 

Unless Favre, Ochocinco, A-rod, or the Red Sox are coming to play for the Rockets, ESPN won't cover it.

 

Why would someone fake something serious like this?? come on stop being in denial. Its not like its nothing new. Everyone knows Yao has foot issues. Deal with it. Its life.

I have been a Rockets fan since 1972, and have never seen them fake it.
