I mostly agree... But still, I understand why the organization might look to trade him, but I hope we don't get peanuts in return if it happens. The "trade him at all costs" mentality is not the one we should have. If no one is going to give us a reasonable offer, then lets keep him and give him another shot.
The year we got out of the first round was the year T-mac was gone. Now if we trade T-mac we might get pass the second round. Keep T-mac and we stay in the first round.
I see how it could be interpreted that way. But I took it to mean that he didn't want to win with a one year rental, PERIOD, and would rather take his chances with McGrady. Like if you gave him these options... A) Keep Tracy and see what happens B) Win it all with a player that is going to walk next off season He would take option A. That's what it sounded like to me.
If you're addressing me with both these quotes.. you're certaintly doing a fine job of jumbling yourself with contradictions.. also.. to dismiss what McGrady himself has said, done and exhibited throughout his career as "falsehoods".. just makes you appear as a fan beyond hope and help..
tmac like lamar odom. they both are very very talented could be the best if they actually "worked hard". if they had a mentality of kobe or mj23 or magic. to me just dont have that "want to be great" in them. for thier size and talent could of been like magic. thats my opinion.
You do not understand. We all know Tracy can play. It has nothing to do with that... Atleast on my part. Can't speak for all "Tracyhaterz".
That is the reason people should question whether he should be here next year. Is Tmac capable of playing the smaller role? He said it himself that he needs a certain amount of touches to play at high level. It was okay when it was only Yao and Tmac but now there are more options. Scola, Brooks, and Artest need their touches also.
I am not contradicting anything. Since you seem so hung up on wording I will make it simple. McGrady has displayed both positives and negatives as a player on a team. Most people are hung up on the bad, exhibited this year and before he arrived here, and believe it is an indicator of the future. Others are stuck on what he did in Orlando and his first year here, when he was one of the best players in the league. I personally believe he has brought far more good than bad to our team in his time here and I believe having him remain would be better than just giving him away for nothing.
tmac is still good. i believe he still has it in him also. whenever he comes back this season. FASHO!
