hahah this post made me go look up some Carl Everett quotes and now I am aware and can't stop laughing! * Carl Everett on dinosaurs? o "Didn't exist. God created the sun, the stars, the heavens and the earth, and then made Adam and Eve. The Bible never says anything about dinosaurs. You can't say there were dinosaurs when you never saw them. Someone actually saw Adam and Eve. No one ever saw a Tyrannosaurus rex."

It is such an ignorant statement to say that dinosaurs are not in the Bible or that Christians do not believe in Dinosaurs. First off, The Bible doesn't use the word "dinosaurs" because the word didn't exist until the 1800s, whereas most of the Bible was written in the first century C.E. or earlier. It does, however, mention "Behemoths" walking the earth in the Book of Job as giant animals of God's creation and describes their traits as reptilian and larger than any existing animals.
I'm really hoping you guys don't honestly believe that even 2% of people who call themselves Christians in the United States of America would tell you that dinosaurs did not exist. This could be the absolute worst strawman EVER! but the pictures of Jesus with dinosaurs always makes me laugh, so the thread is worth it just for that, alone.
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage...erse=15&version=31&context=verse#en-NIV-13880 Job 40:15 (New International Version) 15 "Look at the behemoth, [a] which I made along with you and which feeds on grass like an ox. Footnotes: Job 40:15 Possibly the hippopotamus or the elephant
I'm not questioning the content referenced in the Bible. I'm asking if he thinks Job hung around with Dinosaurs.

the importance of studying history and understanding time frame is so critical to the knowledge of our universe, the earth, and the human species.
Maybe there aren't many Christians who believe dinos never existed, but when you add in those who think that humans coexisted with them, the number is almost certainly much higher than 2%.
