I think his production will increase this year some, maybe even his role. I could see 16 and 10. How can you not love this guy? Max effort all the time

We could use him more regardless of Yao but last year our offense loses focus. Plenty of games it looks like Scola was going to off but he suffers almost the same issues as Yao, namely Wafer, Artest and AB isn't giving him the ball. It also doesn't help when teams adjust defense such as fronting. Surprising this is also effective in stopping Scola the few times I seen it.

I don't think the ceiling is very high for Luis. However, I think he has enough room for improvement. I agree that 16 and 10 is a reasonable enough stat line for him this year.

what a pity for him, if he enter the league at the age of 22, he would definitely be an all-star PF.

Unless he somehow develops a devastating left hand, he's about as good as he'll be right now... He can get 14/9 with increased minutes only

Luis is the type of guy who shows up every night, crashes the boards, runs the floor, and plays team ball on offense and defense.

He's not a go to player or a guy who can take over a game, but he just finds a way to help the team win. I don't see him really developing into anything more than he is now, and what he is now is a very servicable PF.

I don't see why all the clamoring for Scola getting shots. If Scola's getting 20 points on a team, then that team sucks. He's a good player, but he's not the go-to guy on a contender.

Overall I think he's more or less peaked. He can still improve around the edges to improve his overall game. But I don't exactly expect him to be consistently drawing double teams in the post.

definantly not a go to guy. About 70-80 percent of his looks on offense come from him moving without the ball and finding the open spot. He is one of the better bigs in the league at staying active and moving without the ball, but a go to guy he is not.

13 and 9 is about what we can expect.
His numbers might go up if we get more of a passing point guard for the roster, or, well, if Kyle Lowry plays more minutes. Aaron Brooks has his good points but he was being showcased for deals this summer.

Maybe Adelman with a foreign-player lineup like he had in Sacramento could do some real damage, especially with Luis and Ricky Rubio in a pick and roll situation.

Luis Scola has earned a nice payday. The only way he won't get it here is, of course, if we use him as part of a trade that brings in an All Star PF/C (Bosh, Stoudemire).

Regardless of the numbers I think a good role comparison for Scola is how Marion was to the Suns. Despite Marion's salary he was always the unsung hero on those dangerous Phoenix teams during their S.S.O.L. peak years. Marion was always their garbageman, energy guy and best rebounder. Phoenix has never been the same without him. I get that same feeling when I think about the Rockets without Scola in the line up.

A lot will depend in how adelman manages to control wafer, brooks and artest.

IF he can squeeze these to stop the shooting party, i think you are around 15-20 shots that can go to other players, say Yao get´s 10, scola can get to 4 from 8 more attempts per game.

That said, if adelman does this, i think luis will be around 16-6 as many here.
