I'll be delighted if we take 2 out of 3 here.

We have our two aces going, and a guy that isn't Brandon Backe. :p

Hopefully Wandy continues his home success, and Paulino/Ortiz can just make quality starts.

Let's see how wrong I will be this week, too:

Game 1: W -- Call me crazy, but I like Wandy at home. Verlander hasn't been as untouchable lately; he's coming back to earth.

Game 2: W -- I expect strong things from Paulino coming back.

Game 3: L -- I keep counting Ortiz out. I promise if we win this game and he pitches well again, I'll stop doing that. :p Jackson's got fiery stuff, too.

Wandy's getting hammered. Inning starts off with an Adam Everett double, now a 3-run shot.

I didn't hear anything about him and I didn't see anything on the Chron. I'm guessing they're just resting him.

What a great game. Tonight was on the short list of impressive Astros victories this year. Maybe this will be the game that gets them going. Atleast I hope so.

We got a total gift in the eighth inning when the Tiger relievers couldnt find the strike zone.

I think MMP would have exploded had Tejada hit a grandslam in the bottom of the eighth. Something tells me, if this were 2003-2005 Tejada kills that ball onto the tracks......

Valverde had pitched quite a bit since coming back. I am assuming after going in back to back (day night) games, they were just resting him. I am sure that he was deemed unavailable before tonights game.
