Juwan Howard (hey, at least he's a consummate professional ) Ryan Bowen (Dirk stopper) Clarence Weatherspoon Eddie Griffin Seriously, you gotta love Luis Scola after so many years of frustration at the PF position. I wasn't around when OT and Horry played for the Rockets so I can't pick them. Sir Charles is idiotic in TNT but he played with so much heart and passion for the Rockets, even though he was marching towards the end of his career.
I can see people not picking him first, but how do you even have a best Rockets pf list without Otis Thorpe on it.
I'm sure Mosses was the best but my favorites are. Chuck (he played with heart ) to bad we didn't have him at a younger age. Scola (I just love this guys toughness) (I still would like to bust d fishers ass over his dirty play in the playoffs.) I liked OT but remember if the shot was over 5 foot from the basket forget it.
in 1992, Otis Thorpe made the all star team for the Rockets (so when they Dream was the only all star, they were wrong) He averaged 16.7 points/game with a 59% FG and 10 rebounds and 2.9 assists. <!-- LIFE IMAGE 1784760 --><script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.life.com/embed/index/js"></script><script type="text/javascript">LIFEembedDrawImage2('1784760','0');</script> <!-- LIFE IMAGE 237226 --><script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.life.com/embed/index/js"></script><script type="text/javascript">LIFEembedDrawImage2('237226','0');</script>
OT and Horry are 2nd and 3rd. I have to admit I was a big Eddie Griffen fan. On Xbox I would always go in and put him back on the Rockets roster. He had such huge potential I thought he would be a star for a long time. I was so happy when there were talks about him getting his life back together when the timberwolves picked him up. I thought things might click to him seeing the way KG worked and being around a guy like that. Especially since that was the kind of player I originally thought he would be a, KG with longer range!
you did note the topic of the thread, did you not? ROCKETS PF All-timer would have to be the Big E. The most steady, most reliable turnaround J they ever had at the 4. Great rebounder as well. Rudy T played the 3.
