He may not make the team, but you gotta cut him some slack for the biggest night of his life. He probably wasn't thinking straight, and he was unprepared for the interview. The kid is excited, and I have no doubt he'll work even harder to make the team to make the dream come true. Even if it doesn't pan out, he'd be competing with Wafer for a spot, and it'll be beneficial for us as a team.

Lol. So now we are saying you need a good it of intelligence to play in the NBA? Interesting.

I mean it is always nice to have some IQ, but seriously, it is far from a requirement. All that matters is he understands basketball and has good athleticism. They players that commonly fail and are labeled as possibly not being bright enough to grasp the game almost always came out from high school and are 6'8" and up (they got away with their combination of size and athletic skill instead of ever having to learn their part of the game - IE. Stromile Swift). Guys that stay in college a few years, fill it up and are blessed athletically usually have some good success

So if he can score say, 42 points in a summer league game, we might be able to use him as some sort of leverage in a S&T with Wafer or something?

Wow what is with you today? Usually aren't you the one who keeps saying we need young blood etc? Now you're just dumping on our picks (Not impressed with Budinger, Taylor is dumber than a box of hammers etc). I'm pretty sure if Taylor knows any rox fan at all someone would have pointed him to this forum. And I bet he's thrilled that you judged his intelligence just from a radio snippet when he wasn't thinking coherently

The really crazy thing is you're making Wafer seem like some kind of B-ball genius. Lol Wafer isn't exactly Battier basketball-wise you know...

I just wish he would have told us his personal assessment on his abilities and skills as they pertain to the scoring aspect of the game of basketball.

IMO, you do NOT get the guy that had a possible vendetta with the head coach in the playoffs
