    There are rumors out there saying that the Rockets just may not trade Tracy McGrady because of the news to Yao Ming.

    Source - Andy Katz from espn. Just seen it on tv not to long ago.

    Also Michael Wilbon said he doesn't believe the Rockets will trade McGrady either because of the injury to Yao. If this is true then I believe the only thing you can do is fill in the holes that we basically have. Backup Center. Upgrade at pg if need be. other than that We should just stay put.

    morey wouldn't do that i believe. but we do need make a move to compete for a champion next year. can't depend on yao's health.

    That ihateginobli insider on real-gm said it first. He was the one that leaked the potential amare/t-mac trade. I hear he has good credibility.

    Why would injury to Yao affect decision on McGrady? If Yao is out the first part of the year, will keeping the injured McGrady around help the team?

    My guess is that the "not wanting to trade TMac" line is being told by Rockets to other teams who want cap relief in order to see if they will sweeten current offers for him.

    No it means the Rockets are throwing in the towel. If Yao will be out les has no intention of spending Luxury tax money on an early exit playoff team.
