Chad Ford: The Grizzlies also are still shopping their pick and one potential trade may persuade them to part with it. A source in Memphis says the Rockets have offered Shane Battier and Aaron Brooks for No. 2. The Grizzlies could send them the dreaded Marko Jaric contract back and save some face in the draft if they did it. Who are the Rockets after? That is the question ...
This has been posted in the stickied thread. IBTL. And Memphis needs to add in a scrub, preferably a 5.
I thought one of our biggest strengths that set us apart from our playoff teams was our ability to throw Artest and Battier at the other team's star wingman. Now we're sacrificing that to go for Rubio? Or what exactly? I'm confused by all these rumors.
Ugh, trading Brooks for an unknown. I'm not saying that Brooks is untouchable, and I'm not necessarily buying into him developing into a solid point guard, but what if Rubio is a bust, then we're screwed.
what is the obsession with carl landry? he is luis scola lite and he has reached his potential. hayes is more than enough at the backup 4.
Obviously we're after Rubio. Jaric is a better player than he's given credit for. Shane has been sliding a bit but he's a good floor leader. Actually a good value trade. It's fair. Memphis would have to trade away a PG in a secondary deal.
Mods: please don't lock this one. i think this is pretty important, given that there are two separate reports.
