Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know how all of the Yao Minginaters on here are going to go nuts over this, but who cares, they don't know much about basketball any way.

Yao Ming hasn't done squat since he's came to Houston, except for strut his 7'6 stature around this city and fool the hell out of people because he's tall.

He's never been a closer, he doesn't have the competitive edge to compete in close games that go back and forth in the final few minutes, he gets taken out of games so easily. The Rockets proved they were a better team without him two years ago when he went down and they continued their winning streak without him and played very well in his absence for the rest of the season.

Then last season they ran the court much faster with him out of there in the post season and still won two games against LA.

Now he's hurt indefinitely again. Big shocker there. It's only going downhill for him from this point forward.

The Yao Ming and Tmac experiment has been an utter failure and needs to END NOW. Move on, let's build a younger team for the future and stop depending on a 7'6 CAN who has gone down for the last 3 seasons.

I would actually prefer to have Amare starting at Center over Yao, I think we'd do better because it would allow us to move faster, and we play better like that, but we aren't ever moving Yao.

Why would Les trade his biggest money-maker? Even if you got Dwight Howard back in the deal, Les would still lose $$$$ in that deal. Plus, who are you going to put in the middle anyway, Gortat?

you obviously dont know how a NBA team works.
the owner wants to make money! even the purpose of wining a championship is to make money!
and Yao brings Les exactly that. why would he be traded?

This is by far the dumbest thing I keep hearing about Yao Ming.

All of this money we're making? What money!? You mean the money that Les is "allegedly making?" How is that making this a better team? Where is there any statistical revenue info out there that suggests that Yao Ming is making this team so much more money? WHERE? This is just an idea that I've yet to see any proof or evidence on.

And the Rockets have always made money and will make tons of money with or without Yao Ming. THe objective should be to win championships, not COZY UP TO CHINA! China isn't doing anything to help this team win championships. Win some championships and this team will make way more money, and with Yao Ming being our supposed top player/superstar we're like a blind man walking off a cliff.

The guy has always been soft and lacks the competitive spirit to take over games and stomp other player's throats into the floor. Like Ike Turner used to say "That boy just don't got it!"

Regardless the guy can't stay healthy and he's our only real piece of value that we could trade to get any real players of value without hurting our young core of players that have a lot of potential like Brooks and Landry.

Not trading Yao will haunt this team for years.

We've got a brand new 'trade Tmac' and 'trade Yao' thread on the front page! Awesome.

We need a 'fire Adelman' thread to complete the triumvirate.

Care to provide any factual proof of all the extra money that Les makes off of Yao? Show me where that's helping this team get to a championship.

If you truly believe that, then you should be criticizing Les Alexander for putting his pocket book before trying to win a championship.

But he would make more money by winning championships. TC would be filled every night to see an exciting team.
