I mean, the way I see it, Barbosa and Amare are Brooks and Landry on mega steroids. LOL

They all have same strengths and weaknesses, except Amare also adds shotblocking.

doesnt make sense, Amare will stunt Scolas role in the team. Rmbr the playoffs how well he played. This guy still got plenty of room for improvement having just finished his full 2nd season playing almost every single game. Scola should be starting, i admit amare is one heck of a player, but can he really play along with Yao? Its a risk i rather not take messing with a big chemistry in the team. i'd rather take a risk on T-mac getting back to All-Star level by March and make a run for the championship. Of course, health will once again play a big role and amares health is somewhat fragile.....no? either way, i have faith in DM to make the right decisions, he has made a lot of good ones, trust me, this guy will bring us a championship Oh, and im a bit high at the moment!! Go ROCKETS!!!

You have to realize that if the trade succeeds that there might be follow up moves that lessens the loss of the youngsters. Barbosa himself can offset Brook's departure.

 

Are you a fan of our players or a fan of our team? We all love Carl and Ab as players and as people. However as a ROCKETS fan, I welcome any trade that makes them better.

I love AB and Carl, in a totally manly way of course, but let's face it. Carl is a superb bench player, but would be just another guy as a starting PF. AB can be dynamic, but is a SG trapped in a PG's body. I wouldn't be opposed to trading them, just not this trade though.

Amar'e reminds me a Shawn Kemp in a way...and like Kemp, if the athleticism wanes, his lack of skills will have him out of the league before he knows it. And the lax defense leaves a lot to be desired.

Plus, why trade AB for Barbosa, who is only a bigger, more injury prone AB?

 

This will be a great move, except for the part about lettings Landry go but maybe the Rockets see a big upside in Dorsey. Amare will also give us a chance to rest Yao and play him at the 5 to run some small ball with a line up of:

Not really, the suns score like 300 points a game, we actually play defence and don't score as much. So 1 point on this team may mean 1.5 points on the suns.
