Dang, JRich averaged 3 3's a game at 41 percent....
Arguably the best 3-point shooter in the entire league...

Put that around Yao plus the freakish hops and finishing ability.
He is also a solid rebounder with close to a 2-1 assist to t/o.....

Seems like a good fit to me...

What makes this so funny to me is they Quote 790 in houston as breaking this, but it was really just an emailers suggestion.

Why give up a first rounder?! We'd be getting a scrub in Pavlovic who is getting cut by Phoenix, or so say the reports, and Richardson who is decent probably at best. I guess it dont matter because that Shaq trade is gonna become official soon, if not already.

This just doesn't seem like a Morey-type deal to me. In my mind, Barbosa for Brooks is pretty much an even deal, which means we're giving up TMac and Landry for Amare. No thanks.

It based on Charlie pallilos show. He was asking people for ideas, and this is what he recieved. He stated he likes the idea because of Barbosa.

I've always thought J. Rich's athleticism has over shadowed (due to his Slam Dunk Championships) his true best skill, his 3-pt shot. The guy can shoot, the only reason he's not a superstar is because he's not much of a ball handler at all.

He's like a very rich man's version of Von Wafer

That's what I'm thinking. Barbosa is pretty much a Brooks with size, which allows him to finish much better around the rim. Barbosa's willingness to attack the basket utilizing his tremendous speed is what really seperates himself from McGrady/Richardson type of players who fall in love with their jumpers. What a waste of athleticism.

The Rockets would AT LEAST need to give up a future first rounder to get that hypothetical deal done. Assuming that the Rockets waive Pavlovic (and his only partially guaranteed salary), this deal would save the Rockets anywhere from $5M to $8M and would basically ensure that the Rockets can re-sign Artest and still avoid paying the luxury tax.

Amare was crying about shaq and you think by him being with yao who demands the ball more than shaq amare wants to be a number 1 option and cannot be that in houston so the rumors should stop because if you think t mac makes chemistry problems you are sadily mistaking

I do understand that, and by $$$ I'm assuming you're talking about the cap, Les said he wouldn't have a problem paying Lux Tax for the right player to bring us a ring.

    So why wouldn't he???

    Suns Stoudemire to Rockets?
According to the same source that disclosed Terry Porter was about to be fired as Suns coach, the Rockets are leaning toward swapping Tracy McGrady's expiring $22M contract, Carl Landry and Aaron Brooks for Leandro Barbosa and Stoudemire, who owns an escape clause after next season and is demanding an extension this summer to waive it. -- NY Post

Just updated on Ben Mallers rumor page...at least its out there now

"This trade doesn't even amount to trade winds....I have seen no sources reporting that either side is interested in this deal"

    - Feigen on 610 sportsradio

If the deal happens, I wonder if Feigen would have a meltdown like Alyson Footer after Pudge signed with the Stros

Given the news this morning that Yao's foot is NOT healing, I think this deal becomes even more of a possibility. Amare can start at the 5 with Scola at the 4. We won't need Landry with Amare. The only thing is then we'd have to find a replacement for Brooks. But I think we could do that! I like this deal!

It's definately out there now. Morey, sign, seal, and deliver! JK I feel you could get a better offer out there, especially if teams are "aggressively" pursuing T-Mac.

I tell you this - Feigen is nothing more than a mouthpiece of the Rockets. When Feigen tells you that McGrady 'could' still be in the plans for the Rox, it's complete and total garbage. Period. Feigen obviously has just sold out.

The Amare/Barbosa trade is more than rumor and there is proof out there ...but if you hear anything more about it, it will be coming from someone else and not me. We'll see... Heck, maybe even one of the Rocket players will make a comment about it?

But when Feigen dismisses it as rumor, he's probably already been given a nice little story about something. But there is proof of what's going on between the two teams and whether or not the deal happens, the information will be on this site soon after the draft...but not by me.

Feigen frustrates those who've sworn NOT to voice something...
