As much as I would hate losing Brooks and Landry and as much as I am not enamored with Amare's personality, I would do this trade in a split second.

I Agree Yaodaddy. Rotation would be:

    PF - Stoudemire

    SF - Battier

    C - Yao

    SG - Artest

    PG - Lowry

    Bench:

    PG - Bibby

    SG - Barbosa

    SF - J. White

    PF/C - Scola

I hope you're right because thats the only way I see it making any sense. I would feel alot better with Lowry backing up someone like Bibby or Kidd.

I think Clutchfans is the only place where you will find people who think TMac + Brooks + Landry is worth more than Barbosa + A'mare

A'mare >>>> Shaq >> JR. You can't trade for All-Star talent (not borderline all-star, not declining all-star) without giving up talent.

Celtics are looking to deal Rondo, who in my opinion played two to three times as well as Brooks in the playoffs. I can't imagine how much Rockets fans would scream if we were in the Celtics' shoes. Brooks played well but he is simply way too much physically and has way too limited passing skills.

I can only wish that this trade would happen.

I don't see how the Suns do this trade now since Shaq has been traded.

I agree. I'm not big on trading brooks for a rookie or a old player unless that guy is top shelf, but barbosa is basically a bigger version of brooks which is cool. In fact, the way adelman likes to play offense, barbosa probably could start. Not to mention, barbosa is actually 6'4 because he grew a yr later after being drafted so young. For the guy who said barbosa didn't tear up the lakers, he might need to look at some playoffs games when he killed La. Brooks, scola, landry, and shane should never be deal breakers

If Morey can pull this trade off and follow it up with a free agent signing of Kidd or Bibby then Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plugs in all the needs and basically makes the team a contender.

The problem with Landry is that if you trade for Amare and going to pay him so much money, He will need to play his minutes and with Scola in There is no point to have one of the 3 on the bench.

With Brook, I love him but you will need to give something to get something there are not that many Memphis team out there giving away Gasols for nothing. And Barbosa somehow replace him, a SG on a body of a PG who is quick and shoot the 3.

Barbosa would fit in as a reserve SG. He hasn't worked on passing the ball which is disappointing, considering that he was brought in as a backup for Nash.
Amare can score in the low post and shoot the mid-range jumper but he is a malcontent.I do admit the temptation of wanting Amare is present because of Yao's injuries, but the chances of things working out seem low to me.

Brooks is best suited as a reserve SG and lacks the size that Barbosa brings. Aaron doesn't have the court vision of a PG and looks horrible when defenses key on him,but I will give him credit for trying.

I would rather try to get a more reliable but less flashy player like Hamilton instead, and then try to get a backup center/power forward by using the MLE or by trading Artest as a last resort. That would still leave us without a true closer, but that appears better to me than these rumors which probably won't materialize in my opinion.

Getting Nash with Amare is a bit far fetched. The rumored deal of Amare and Barbosa for Tmac, Landry and Brooks seems more logical at this point. The Suns might have to throw another player for the trade to work but getting Nash is/might be out of the question. Although,If it happens, Morey is a god. :D

While it seems to me that it won't make much difference at all, especially in consideration of we're going to form the most fearful All-Star frontcourt combo in the league. Get it done Morey!

I like it. Leandro is a PERFECT fit in an Adelman offense...

    Kyle Lowry/Leandro Barbosa
    Shane Battier/Von Wafer
    Ron Artest/James White
    Amare Stoudamire/Chuck Hayes
    Yao Ming/Luis Scola

    Interesting...
