It sounds like the Suns are going into full-on rebuild mode, and if so, Stoudemire and Nash are likely gone. The Suns may look to get a top lottery pick by trading Amare on draft night. I wonder if Memphis would be interested, or would they be scared off by his health issues. Or the Suns might not want to take back any bad contracts, which could be the deal breaker. Perhaps Phoenix is more interested in getting in on the 2010 free agent market, which means Morey might still get Stoudemire in a Rockets uniform.
I think we could get them both for just T-mac, Brooks, and Landry. I really think though we would have to give up next years draft pick. We would be taking their franchise players so I think its fair.
what player available at 14 would be better than landry. Landry would be a top 10 pick in this draft. there is no one better than him who would be available there.
No they don't. There are built in safeguards if ur owner is halfway alive. There is a salary cap and basement. Now if u try to mix the 2 and lose , then u deserve to be in bad shape. If teams were smart like the spurs, a small market or a team like the pistons which have major procblems, then they would be ok. Maybe they're tired of being mediocre which is the worse place to be in the nba. This should be a lesson to all the rockets fans talking about slowly building. When u have a core that keeps winning 50 games but can't jump into the elite, the window closes very, very fast. Go ask adelman with the kings and now the sunss. The great thing about the nba is all it takes is 1 guy and ur back in it. Look at orlando, they've tore it down and rebuilt 2 times since shaq left in 96.
Thanks for the heads up worzel. If there was ever a time for the Rockets to get predatory, now is it! They need to inquire, make proposals, and counter-proposals to see what it would take to get Nash AND Amare.
That all depends on who falls to #14 and what Daryl Morey, Sam Hinkie and the rest of the Rockets' front office think of those players available at #14. I personally think that Earl Clark has a ceiling that is MUCH higher than Carl Landry's. While he could very well not turn out to be as good as Landry, he has the potential to be an All-Star. Landry does not.
