Hey Egghead, if you dont mind, any new updates on ESPN Insider? BTW, thanks for those updates. I appreciate them.
It looks like Shaq could be on the move. If so, Id say an Amare move is unlikely. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_y...F?slug=aw-draftbuzz062409&prov=yhoo&type=lgns
Dont we still have the rights to Frederick Weiss? Yea, he got teabagged by vince carter, but hes a legit center, and if morey can finally get him to come over, i think he would be a great backup center, without moving any of the pieces we have now
I bet the Rockets'll trade future 2nd round pick + cash for the Lakers' 29th pick if THEIR guy is still available there.
acorrding to espn and draftexpress Chase Budinger has fallen out of the 1st round.... 36. Memphis Grizzlies Chase Budinger | SG | Arizona Budinger is a great shooter and the Grizzlies are looking for some more shooting prowess in their backcourt. It's amazing that Budinger could slide this far, but that's what it looks like right now. ESPN
man, i don't know about you guys but i'm pretty excited about this whole draft. only because i believe that there's a good chance a multiple-team trade might happen involving us and acquiring a all-star caliber player (whether established or not)
-Two teams that may be looking to sell their late first round picks are Chicago and Memphis. -Three teams that are looking to move into the first round are Miami, San Antonio and Houston. The Heat are supposedly looking at Taj Gibson and the Spurs are intrigued by Omri Casspi and Jonas Jerebko. http://www.draftexpress.com/blog/Jonathan-Givony/#Word-on-the-Street-June-24th-The-Latest-3283 Get it done Morey, bring Budinger to Houston!
I am going to be very upset if we don't make a move. I've been checking clutch non stop waiting to see Rockets aquire..
via espn insider... POSTED: June 25 -- 1:53 a.m. ET Chad Ford: What's the upshot of the Hawks' rumored deal for Jamal Crawford? If it goes through, I think you can kiss Mike Bibby goodbye, Hawks fans. A source close to Bibby told ESPN.com that Hawks management has sent the signal to Bibby that they may not re-sign him this summer. The trade for Crawford doesn't preclude them taking a point guard in Thursday's draft. The team is looking at Brandon Jennings, Eric Maynor and Jeff Teague. • Louisville's Terrence Williams has a right to be upset. After working out against Gerald Henderson on Monday in Charlotte, Williams thought he got a promise to be drafted by Charlotte at No. 12. Larry Brown had fallen in love with him and Williams was confident enough that he skipped a workout the next day with New Jersey. Then Michael Jordan showed up. According to sources Jordan isn't a big Williams fan and would prefer that the Bobcats either trade the pick or draft Wake Forest's James Johnson. Can't wait to see how that one turns out. • Wake Forest's Johnson and Italy's Jennings could be in for one seriously wild ride on draft night. Johnson is getting a look by the Warriors (7), Raptors (9), Bobcats (12), Suns (14), Bulls (16), Jazz (20) and Hornets (21). Think that's a big range? How about Brandon Jennings, who will get looks at the Timberwolves (6), Warriors (7), Knicks (8), Bucks (10), Suns (14), Sixers (17) and Hawks (19)? interesting, maybe the Rockets can go after Bibby and reunite him with Adelman....
I'm have felt a Amare deal is unlikely from the begining. I just really doubted the legs behind it. Clutch also mentioned Rip Hamilton on the podcast this morning. Maybe he is some sort of a backup plan in case this scenerio did play out that Shaq was the guy Phoenix decided to move. I'm just as eager to hear some fresh new. The Rockets have got hardly any mentions lately. It seems as if just having a first round pick is good PR for your team, lol. Probably what caused the press conference.
