It's 54 F right now in Calgary (I didn't check, but I'd guess it were about 75 F during the day), and the air smells like vanilla. I wish I could stay up here all summer.
When I was a kid I would run outside all day during the summer full throttle. I remember running inside to grab water gulp it down then go for more. The arcade was like a 3 mile bike ride. Now I get a severe headache if do work outside unless I have a camelback.
i dont get if that was supposed to be sarcastic or what because I certainly live in a place that has more traffic than houston and more pollution
You know what else is funny? How that CaseyH guy just disappeared out of thin air. Wonder what happened to him.
We are leaving for Sweden on August 1st and staying the month. It can't get here quick enough. Highs around 70 and lows in the low 50's at night sound amazing. The only thing that would be better is if we were staying for September as well.
84* ??? C'mon, now... On your Windows OS-based computer, do the following without using your mouse: WindowsKey+R (the Run... dialog comes up) type "charmap", then press [enter] (the Character Map shows up) As long as your "Font:" drop down menu has a press tab twice to focus your selection in the characters' section of the Character Map. Press arrow down five times. Press arrow right ten times. Your selection (bold square) should be at the " ° " character now. Press [Enter] or Alt+S to select the Degree Sign. Press Alt+C to copy the character to memory. Press Alt+F4 to close the Character Map window. Now you can paste the ° character on your thread's title. Or, just skip all that and do "ALT+0176 [numeric pad]" to add it to your thread title... ° Can't wait 'till I get my MCSE so I can blow this joint... oh, and by the way, you're welcome! - Nick Burns Read your H.O.A. by-laws?
Live in Pearland; currently my office is in the Woodlands. The AC in my truck went out on the way home last night.
The people who live across the street from me always do their yardwork at night at about 10pm. It doesn't bother me. I dont think the neighbors will blame ya for doing it at that time.
Damn, that is pretty hot. Drink plenty of fluids and stay cool down there. It's sunny with a high of 79 in San Francisco today.
It's times like now where I realize how much of a temperature wuss I have become. When I first moved back to Houston after 15 years in Saudi Arabia, I was outside every day playing during the summer when there were no other kids / teens out. I was calling all the locals panzies for sitting in their ac watching tv etc, while I was outside in the middle of the day etc in summer heat playing basketball etc. Now, I'm the one in doors complaining about the heat. *sigh* My parents are in this...(and this has been cool weather because of massive wind / sand storm)
