Enough speculation: predict which player or players the Rockets will draft, if any.

    In the end, the Rockets will be too cautious to move into striking distance of Rubio, and I think their initial plan of buying a low first round pick is the most realistic scenario, and that points to a guy like Chase Budinger, who will probably still be on the board, unless Utah picks him at 20. :D

    He would give the Rockets some depth, an extra trade chip, and some insurance in case Wafer signs somewhere else.

    If stated before and I'll do it again, Morey is going to get his hands on a lotto pick. If it's not the top 10 it'll be somewhere from 11-15 and he will try to get his hands on Earl Clark.

    There is some team that sees the potential there and would love a shooter at his size with an extremely high ceiling. I predict another Donte Greene scenario, and if we keep him we will have a potential All-Star that we haven't had to pair with Yao since 06. :D

    Best guess is that the Rockets will buy a late first rounder or early second rounder and pick the best available 2 or 5.

    there's no way we're drafting a center. drafting a center who will play behind Yao for 5-10 mins a game is just not a championship make or break move. we'll just have to gamble on yao being healthy. we're defintely going for a PG.

    Backup C only playing 5-10 minutes?! You're letting Yao play 40-45 minutes a game? Wow. And dont tell me Hayes or Landry is our backup C. That got exposed. We lack height, but I do agree, PG is probably what Morey is targeting for whatever reasons.

    Kinda hair since we don't even knowwhat pick we will have, if any. Anything is a flat out guess but I'll predict trading Landry to get an early teens pick and draft Earl Clark.

    It is my prediction...the Rockets will do nothing!!!!! But if they do anything, it will involve next years 2nd round pick. If we have one. :eek:

    They will not have a 1st round pick. Morey may end up with a great deal on a high 2nd (again).

    The draft is very very thin in the first round. This was generally acknowledged months ago, but as always, everyone is excited again now. (Sorry if I'm repetitive.)

    It draft time. People suppose get dummy.

    Rockets trade a future draft pick for one of Portland's many 2nd round picks. If it's a mid to late 2nd rounder I think they'll go for an international player. I hope it's Nando De Colo.
