In my opinion, he would be a perfect FIT on this team for our coach Rick

Adelman. I know he was injured last year, but he usually doesn't have any

    durability issues.

    Some news on his injury,

Jun 18 G Michael Redd is progressing nicely while recovering anterior cruciate ligament surgery on his left knee, according to Bucks general manager John Hammond. Hammond said Redd is about two weeks ahead of his rehab schedule and should be ready for training camp in October.

Why would the RJ trade make him available?

The RJ trade makes him available because it shows the Bucks are trying to rebuild and save money. I would give either Laundry or Brooks plus T-Mac for Michael Redd. The Bucks would absolutely take T-Mac for his expiring contract.

They might be dumping huge contracts.

    McGrady for Redd + fillers.

I would rather have Hamilton for the money and also Redd has some durability issues. Don't get me wrong I like Redd but I hate that he always seems to get injured like someone else we know.

Not a big Redd fan. He'll never be what he once was on offense and hes a big liability on D. He's a great streak shooter who put up big numbers for a consistently bad team, there are alot of guy in the league like that who could be had without the injury history he has.

Bucks didn't get any young prospect out from Spurs. Not even George Hill.

I don't see why we should have to give up Brooks for Redd.

Hell No. Redd is a volume shooter and has little play making skill.

    The numbers say other wise.

    08-09 Games missed: 49
    07-08 Games missed: 10
    06-07 Games missed: 29

That says durability issues to me.

Maybe they traded RJ so they can keep Redd?
Does that ever cross to your mind?

I would too, but I don't think the Bucks want my dirty socks.

    Volume shooter???

A volume shooter is McGrady: 7-22 shooting artist.
Redd is a clockwork 45% shooter - very efficient scorer. Much more efficient than McGrady.

His game meshes with Yao's far better - he doesn't have to dominate the ball the way McGrady has to. He can be a second option in a post-centric halfcourt game, and can take over if we're missing Yao for long stretches.

He's not the playmaker/creator that McGrady was, but McGrady hasn't been that guy for several years himself.

It's possible (not likely) that Milwaukee might go for this, but we'd almost certainly have to take back a bad contract to even things out, since McGrady is due $6M more than Redd next year. Gadzuric probably. Also have to bear in mind that a franchise does not want to move it's lone star, as it's box office poison when you do so (Minny, KG). Sure, you cut costs, but your already weak revenue just dropped by half.

Hell yeah! Let's get the only guy in the league less durable than McGrady and possibly more overpaid!

I will pee myself if we get Redd... Our team would be so stacked. Mark my words, if we get Redd, and everyone stays healthy, we will win it all next season.

    What about this argument?

Redd is old, injury-prone, and already in his career's decline phase. Any other current Rockets SG's that remind you of?
