Hey guys, I made this draft spreadsheet in Excel and figured I'd share it. I hope at least one person can find it useful. Download Link It profiles 73 draft eligible players, listing their most recent season stats and their measurements (including wingspan, vertical, etc.) all in one place for easy viewing and comparing. If you're familiar at all with Excel you can do some sorting too, which is helpful. I also included a projected draft position for each player based on the average across 3 popular mock drafts (nbadraft.net, draftexpress.com, and realgm.com). That's the value in the left most column. *Note that some information is missing. Some players, especially foreigners are hard to find information on.
You should post it in a table on here instead of as a downloadable spread sheet. Exactly why I want the rating system to be transparent, and public. DD
Are these the official measurements of each player? I only ask because I read that Rubio was actually 6'5. Is it with or without shoes? Anyway, thanks for the spreadsheet. It's great for a guy like me who hasn't visited those draft websites in a while.
31.7 Claver Victor 20 ACB Pamesa Valencia SF/PF 6-10 218 23.0 8.3 4.5 0.6 1.1 0.5 53.6% 41.5% 69.4% 6' 10" , 53 and 41 and he only plays 23 minutes a game?
Wow Flynn has a 40" vertical Budinger and DeRozan have a 38.5" Vertical, all 3 higher than Blake Griffin....
Great! Thanks. Curry, Flynn, lawson, and Maynor seem to be good pgs. They have good assists number and shooting percentage. Espeically for Lawson and Maynor, they could be drafted around 20, can the rockets buy the timberwolves' #18 so that we are able to draft one of them?
http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=rYWvxyu-k0VHkqpR1m7Oc4g via hoopsdaily The Top 50 Prospects and the Four Factors By Jon Nichols Thu, 06/18/2009 - 11:30am With the draft a week away, I've decided to put together a list of the top 50 prospects and their corresponding offensive Four Factors numbers. For good explanations of what those are, go to http://www.basketball-reference.com/about/factors.html (I chose to use true shot percentage instead of effective field goal percentage). I've also included the players' ranks in each category. The lowest rank is 42 because I decided to leave out the eight Europeans. In the next week, I plan on determining which players are the best fit for each team based on these numbers and the team Four Factors. All of the information will be on Basketball-Statistics.com. To see the numbers, go to: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=rYWvxyu-k0VHkqpR1m7Oc4g I used Chad Ford's Top 100 list to come up with the names. College players' numbers were obtained from http://www.kenpom.com. I calculated the Euro numbers using the data available at http://www.keyhoops.com. Don't forget to check out http://basketball-statistics.com for much more like this!
Their height is listed with shoes if that information was available from the draft combine. If not, I just went with whatever was provided on their profile (which is generally a "with shoes" measurement). All height and wingspan measurements were rounded to the nearest whole inch. By the way, I'm glad you all appreciate this information. It was pretty tedious work.
