Hindsight is 20/20, but AG should have left Wood in the game.

Some questionable moves by Augie tonight -- particularly bringing in Jungmann. Wood is your senior closer -- let him close it out. And sitting Keyes and Moldenhauer, and burning Tant Shepherd were bad moves. The guy they put in RF as a defensive replacement looked like he could barely catch a fly ball. Not sure that was an improvement.

Jungmann better pitch a hell of a game for us to have a chance against LSU's ace. Hope we win today and Green pitches tomorrow. :)

Good job, Jungmann in the 1st inning.
Wow, Preston Clark with the home run to give Texas 2-0 lead in the top of the 2nd inning.

Fail. That's a Hereford, not a Longhorn. And what's the big deal with "Tigers" anyway? They are not native to LA and are an extremely common sports name. There's even another university in the same conference that goes with Tigers. You'd think with all the flavor and creativity one normally associates with LA that they could come up with something more clever than "Bayou Bengals," a name that sounds foreign, almost like it is associated with terrorists. I'm thinking something that truly represents LA... maybe the LSU Nutria? LSU Crawdads? The LSU Washboards?

256th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (United States)
The 256th Infantry Brigade Combat Team is a modular Infantry Brigade Combat Team of the Louisiana Army National Guard. It is headquartered in Lafayette, Louisiana.

    History
Three elements of the 256th Infantry Brigade: the 156th Infantry Regiment; the 108th Cavalry Regiment; and the 1st Battalion, 141st Field Artillery Regiment, the "Washington Artillery" of New Orleans, trace their history back to the American Civil War where they fought mainly in the eastern theater under Robert E. Lee's Army of Northern Virginia. In September 1838, the Washington Artillery of New Orleans was founded. Its emblem was an irate tiger over crossed cannons, with the motto "Try Us" created by James B. Walton in 1846. During the Civil War, most units were referred to as "Lee's Tigers" or Louisiana Tigers and became the mascot for the Louisiana State University, also known as the "Old War Skule".

    LSU "Tigers"
    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The LSU Tigers are the athletic teams of Louisiana State University. They participate in the NCAA's Division I, in the Southeastern Conference. It fields teams in 14 varsity sports (5 men's, 7 women's, 2 coed). Its official team nickname is the Fightin' Tigers and the school mascot is Mike the Tiger. The school colors are purple and gold. LSU's nickname is a throwback to its Confederate heritage and was drawn from the Civil War fame of two Louisiana brigades who fought so fiercely that they became known as the "Louisiana Tigers."
Based on winning percentage, the University's athletics program is consistently one of the best in the nation. Its arenas include Tiger Stadium (football), Pete Maravich Assembly Center (basketball, volleyball, gymnastics), Carl Maddox Fieldhouse (indoor track), Bernie Moore Stadium (outdoor track), Tiger Park (softball), and Alex Box Stadium (baseball). Important rivals in football include one of the longest running college football rivals with the Ole Miss Rebels, and the Tulane Green Wave. Other rivals include the Alabama Crimson Tide, Arkansas Razorbacks, and the Auburn Tigers.

Keeping with the French/Cajun character of South Louisiana, LSU support can be seen by its distinctive spelling of "Go Tigers" as "Geaux Tigers".

That was a nice one fo sho  That Rice series had me nervous the first game but LSU battled back in game 1 and took care of business in game 2.

This Texas series LSU got somewhat fortunate to steal game 1 to even get this to game 3, it could easily have been 2-0 UT national champs if not for some semi-questionable pitching substitutions by Augie.
