The Nets still need VC to keep themselves barely acceptable to their potential targets like Lebron and Wade. TMAC will draw more interest after he comes back in Feb, but I don't think Morey will still consider trading him then as long as he can come back on time.
This is the deal that makes the most sense......you get EXACTLY what this team is lacking for Tmac's contract...and it is only 1 year more. YES PLEASE !! DD
This is exactly why this is the deal I've been hoping for, that is, unless we can get someone like Kevin Martin. To top it off, if things don't go well, we have his large expiring contract coming up. Pugs
the guy puts up 20/5/5 and shoots a pretty good % from the field. Barely any players do that. That would be a perfect trade scenario imo.
I would love this deal -- I think Vince would be a great fit here, but i'm not going to get hyped up until I see/ hear real movement for some type of trade.

I think I'm ready for some Vinsanity...he's the swingman we've been waiting for..pairing him with Battier or Artest would be sick.
Getting VC might cause the Rockets either Battier or Artest. Most likely it would be Battier. The team would lose their defensive edge while gaining an offensive threat.
no, it would cost them tmac. they want an expiring contract, not a defensive player with more years on their contract.
If the salaries matches then Yes to VC for Tmac but I believe the Nets would want more then an expiring contract. Since the team has no draft picks, the Nets would might want pieces that would help them this season.
Yes to VC for McGrady. If the Nets need more to trade I hope the Rockets will do what it takes but protect Yao, Scola and Battier. That is the core foundation of the Rockets.
Actually the Nets would have to give us more since Tmac makes more then VC. We probably have to take a contract or two that they want to get rid of to get Vince.
The Nets would still want pieces in return. They would dump more salaries to match the incoming salaries but I do not see them getting just an expiring contract in return for VC.
If a McGrady/Carter trade were to be made, it would be for salary cap purposes. There would be no reason to want pieces in return. Have you looked at the Nets' roster and their salaries? No one besides Carter has a big contract.
All the more that the trade would be unlikely. The Nets need pieces and if the Rockets can not offer any then the Nets would deal elsewhere.
If the Nets are trying to clear salary to go after free agents next summer, then they don't need pieces.
Won't Vince Carter just end up getting injured on the Rockets again too? just kidding. I don't want to see VC get injured and end up like T-Mac. I would love to see VC in Houston. But I don't want to see T-Mac go.
I hope your right because having VC would be great. Its just I do not see a straight up trade of Tmac being traded alone.
I'm reading that NJ has a hard time selling seats, and if they move VC, the fan base would be even harder pressed to come out to the games. Blah Blah economy. With that in mind though, I dont see NJ moving Carter unless they get a star in return. Someone that can sell season tickets, not tickets in Feb or March as in Mcgradys case. I personally would love to get Vince, but I have a feeling it is very unlikely.
