    With this city growing 4 times the size it was since I was brought on the earth, I'm curious how many people are actually from here.

    I'll put in a separate category being you can call yourself native if you came before the age of ten.

    I haven't had a 713 # since I cancelled my MCI contract, son. Another interesting poll would be to see who still has landlines.

    Born and raised. I've lived in Texas all my life. H-town until I was 18 and left for school. Since then, other than living at home a summer or two while at UT, I've lived in Austin or the general central Texas area (i.e. Round Rock.)

    Lived in Houston and 713 all my life, and I hope for both of those things to remain the same.

    I also have a land line. There was a period when I moved from one house to another that I no land line, but I decided to get one as part of a "bundle".

    My mother told me that I was found in one of those fruit baskets at the flea market near the mango stand... Eventually someone was kind enough to take me home with them... Never found out who my real folks were...
