he is a project with potential. that's what he is. and we know about the possibilities of guys like him sticking to a team and getting meaning of minutes. basically very low.
I'm pretty sure he was talking about Lebron. All Lebron has is power dunks. No creativity like Mr James Flight White. James White would demolish him in a dunk contest.
Given the same playing time as Wafer, White could be the surprised package for next season. He just has to adopt a consistent 3pt shot in his arsenal.
Here is a great article on the transformation of James White. It is old news but some may not have read it. I think he has a lot of potential and will surprise alot of us this year. http://www.draftexpress.com/article/James-White-Knocking-on-the-NBAs-Door-Again-3106/
Just goes to show you the actual talent level in the NBA, James White would be "Kobe Bryant" if he played a pick-up game with all the ballers on this BBS. So what does that make the actual Kobe Bryant to all of the NBA players getting mega minutes on their respected teams, wow...
A good read. He seems well aware of what the Rox would be looking for and that he is willing put in the work to get it done. Flashy dunks only get you so far. To get meaningful minutes, and contribute to the team is another thing. So, he is motivating himself and refining his skills to be able to do that - which is all you can ask for too. A low-risk project for the team ... with a realistic chance of success.
It was said that James White was in retrospect this years draft pick. Since we came into the offseason without a pick they signed him while he was doing well in the D-League. He was doing well and became a hot prospect for the NBA s the Rocs (thinking ahead) snatched him up. Great move and great insurance against Wafer leaving. The moves the Rocs are making now seem to be better than any since they dismantled the Championship Team to trade for Barkley.
