Highly recommend Truluck's. Great steaks and seafood in the Galleria area.

Jenni's Noodle House on Post Oak is pretty good. Will be around 10-15 per person.

I work right across the street so I'm over there quite a bit. It seems so much tastier than the location on Shepherd, but maybe that's just because it's so much more convenient.

MEN! PLEASE INSTRUCT YOUR WIVES ON HOW TO PROPERLY TIP IF YOU RECEIVE SATISFACTORY SERVICE.

I wait tables and try my damnedest to not whine about tips because I generally make a pretty good living...

BUT, last Father's Day was probably the most frustrating day of my f'n life as a waiter. Women that aren't use to paying for the dinner just have no idea how to tip.

    Signed,

a waiter that is probably going to get flamed for this post :)

i usually give 15 percent for decent and even bad service, ill give 20 percent for above average service, and ive rarely done 10 but ill give 10 percent if something just pissed me the hell off.

im pretty sure thats fair for tipping percentages? what did the wives generally tip in regards to percentages?

Rice Village / Midtown - almost always good food with decent prices
Ruggles Grill - best food for the money in Houston (my favorite!!)

Galleria / Uptown - excellent food, but usually pretty pricey
Americas - very pricey, but very good
Del frisco - great steak, kinda $$
    Oceanaire - awesome seafood, pricey
Pappas steak house - very nice steak here
