I got up to get my morning Starbucks and my front door was open with the console taken apart and my emergency monies stolen. I feel stupid for leaving it unlocked, and they obviously did not like my taste in music as the CD's were left strewn all over the car..... Who wouldn't like the Best of Tears for Fears, both Yaz albums and Erasure? Kids....SHEESH !!! DD
Sorry to hear that DD, I too was a victim of car theft right in front of my driveway... Luckily all they took was my portable GPS system...
You keep emergency money in the car too? I keep mine with the wheel jack. Don't none of you get any ideas. When you saw what had happened, did you want to shout, shout?
That sucks. Once someone when and emptied the change in my console(they didn't take my stereo which slid right out). Another time my wife left my car unlocked and they took a power inverter and opened a christmas card, but left my sirius radio and Ipod. My class ring was taken out of my truck at some point. I had forgotten it was in there until one day I was going through it and found the empty ring box.
Don't lie, DaDarkOne... you know they left ONE MORE: Spoiler <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/eSbhap4R-ho&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/eSbhap4R-ho&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> "It's not mine..."
Summertime in my neighborhood in Round Rock means teens with little to do. You have to lock everything down at night or it will get taken.
lmao, Swoly-D. Thanks for sharing. It reminds me that I need to be locking my doors more often, even as safe as my neighborhood has been.
What a Mad World we live in. It's time for Change. Doesn't that make you want to Shout? I have some Advice For The Young and Heart. I Believe, you need to sit down and listen to all the Mothers talk and Break It Down Again. You get my point. Stupid thieves!!!
Well don't expect the cops to do more than file a report and forget about it after they leave. About 3 month's ago, some drunk lost control of his car, veered in to my driveway and hit my truck that was parked in my driveway. Of course the a-hole drove off. It hit my truck so hard that the truck hit my wife's Expedition and spun sideways in my drive way. Whomever hit my truck had to have had serious damage to their front end. I gave all that info to the cops when I called in the incident. The cops show up 45 mins to an hour later and didn't as much put out a broadcast of the vehicle description and possible front end damage. Here you have some fool so drunk that he can't stay on the road in a neighborhood hauling ass and the cops don't bother to even look for him. The cop even said "most of the time, we don't solve these type crimes". I said "Well, when you don't respond for nearly an hour, I can see why."
I've been seeing it more and more often in the last 6 months or so... I have a car stereo shop so I get all kinds of people coming in w/ busted windows and stolen audio/video equipment. It seems like its jumped up more than twice as much as usual. Sorry DD hopefully your insurance company will cover it all.
I sleep in my car from now on with a baseball bat and the dog tied up in the front lawn... haven't had a burglary since...
Oh there was nothing taken but some money in the middle of the console, about $30..... No windows broken, nothing, it was more of a minor annoyance.....but still sucks... I am now going to have to install some lighting ......fricken kids putting more work on my summer "Honey do" list.... SHEESH ! DD
