I don't care if you like the championship jerseys or not, the bottom line is that we changed logos/unis only a season or two after winning back-to-freakin'-back NBA titles, which has essentially killed our karma from that point on... I say bring on the old school and do a revamp a la the Detroit Pistons, just update the traditional. And if the sight of Hakeem Olajuwon dominating in the "McDonald's" jerseys doesn't get you pumped up, then maybe you need to re-evaluate your team loyalties...
Why fix something that's not broken?? I, for one, think we probably have one of the nicest looking jerseys in the league right now. Very modern with great colour variation. Making a huge overhaul and sticking yellow all over the place just wouldn't mesh with our type of red. Would litterally be a ketchup/mustard mix. Unless the yellow is more on the gold side. This picture is the ONLY acceptable/borderline change that I would take.
I've always wanted a rocket going through our jersey so this is my crappy attempt at doing that. I combined all 3 eras too...
I'm fine with our regular jersey, I just wish we had more retro and alternate days so its a little spicier every now and again. And that does not include the "Los Rockets" which is the stupidest thing ever.
Oh McDonald, I'm lovin it. And I'm also in big favor of the combo colors in yellow and red, which are the main colors of the Spain national flag.
I don't recall anybody shouting 'REMEMBER TIANANMEN SQUARE' outside the Summit during the '94 and '95 seasons... and I doubt that Charlie Thomas was a red diaper baby. Now if Toyota's naming rights to the arena suddenly expire and you hear about some fat suit rocking a QP and chocolate shake staring at the arena from street level and shouting 'I'm LOVIN' it!', THEN you have reason to worry. Hey, i just lay it out so you can play it out...
