No way Jose! He was great while he was here and he's still got the skills but I think we can make it without him. I hope he lands up at a good team who can properly use him though. Perhaps at Indiana. Let him and TJFord play together
No way. This is a guy who sucks, thinks he's better than he actually is, whined about playing time while on the rockets and still had the audacity to win about playing time when in the finals. Rafer is a selfish me first kind of player.
I respect his game and what he did in Houston and for that I say, Thanks Rafer! But bringing him back? Thanks, but no thanks. I like who we have now a bit better. Two's company but three's a crowd.

There's too much history here for Alston to come back and be satisfied playing backup PG. Plus, investing that same time in Lowry is much better for Houston in the long term. And frankly, I was disappointed in how Alston kept voicing his displeasure about SVG and his playing time during the finals. I lost a bit of respect for him after that.

Why you only discover this after he left rockets? XD Alston also like this when he is in rockets... This is one of main reason why rockets trade him in middle of season.
i didnt like the trade deadline trade of rafer simply because you cant bring in a new PG (lowry) and expect him and brooks to take over a team offense that easily. i keep thinking, what if rafer was still here and he played the backcourt along with brooks. rafe would control the offensive sets and be able to pass it to yao while brooks can do his SG thing. but now, there's no need to bring back Rafe. You have an entire offseason to train Brooks and Lowry to run the offense efficiently.
In all honesty, he should have voiced his displeasure with SVG. He took a team that wan playing well , and completely screwed it up. Still, the mere suggestion fo bringing rafer back is stupid (and that's being generous). The Kidd thread is equally as bad if that's any consolation
I have seen several magic games in season. Even if they do not have nelson, svg usually do not use alston or a.johnson but use c.lee & jj.redick as guard to end the game.
