I understand, it is really not an argument it is just the truth... But the USA is coming up, it is just not in a rush but rather slowly getting better as more and more of our best players go overseas. BTW, BEASLEY SUCKS BALLS !!!!! DD
Has Spain even lost yet?...I'm still amazed at them steamrolling New Zealand,...(but then again, I may have done better than some of those players)
That was a B.S. foul call. You should still defend the set pieces properly. It could have been easily be 4 - 0 now. U.S., please stop losing the ball in DANGEROUS territory. In the breakroom about 20 minutes ago... coworker: "Hey, good morning, [SwoLy]... what are you watching?" me: "U.S. versus Brazil... live... from South Africa..." cw:"Ahh... [gets soda out of fridge]... soccer? Cool. Wait... it's the U.S.?" m: "Yeah. It's close to half time." cw: "Well... U.S. won't win. They're not playing Mexico." m: " ... [then] that's true... [pause] is that good or bad? What do you think?" cw: "Damn. Now that I think about it: BAD... for both YOU and ME, sir. [exits]" Were you born in Houston and now live in Chicago, sir? See what I am saying? Put that black dude Davis in.
2-0 at the half. The US picked it up a bit in the later stages of the first half, but still no real threats on goal. A couple of things that can help the US... 1. Get Beasley off the field. Put in my 1 week old baby. He could do better. Actually, put in Adu or someone that can hold the ball and move the attack quicker. 2. Push the ball. Brazil does very well to take the space quickly when it's there. When the US wins the ball in the midfield, they just sit there and wait. Push the ball. Make their defense back peddle. 3. Make better crosses. These attempted through balls are not working. They don't ever work when you're outnumbered in the box. 4. Have a better first touch and more useful passes. Every pass Brazil makes is with a purpose and is part of the next 3 passes. Every pass the US makes is to get out of pressure with no thought as to what to do next. The US can get back in this game if they play with some balls and quit playing scared. BTW, on the link I'm watching, there is an extremely hot Slovakian sportscaster. I can't understand a word she's saying, but DAMN it doesn't matter.
Spain hasn't lost in their last 30 something games. If they put in a lot of second string players against South Africa it could make that game interesting. They'll still get a result from it but it would be more fun to watch.
Connor Casey is our hack-a-brazilian defender strategy. Better start by the US. They're looking to push and taking some good chances. If Altidore could get over the ball, it would be 2-1 right now.
So much for this one. The defense just gave up there. Maybe we can get a point from Egypt, but I doubt it right now. There are too many things not working right now and Bob Bradley appears to be in over his head.
Brazil wasnt scoring enough goals for espn's liking, so they phoned in a red card to make it easier. just like the NBA playoffs, ITS ALL A CONSPIRACY!!1!1!!
why because he is white? LOL... Anyways, you guys dont suck. Your just not very talented. Unfortunately for the US, coaching on this level can only make so much of a difference; you can become more organized and cohesive but you can’t compensate for your lack of creativity and ability that is developed through playing on the streets. Atleast one of my teams is great; Brasil e penta!!!!
Bandwagoner? How about cheering for the Fakers while you're at it? Pick one team and stick with them, sir. Who are your "other" teams?
lol im from Brasil; my other teams are the texans, rockets, astros and Barcelona ( I studied their for 6 months and became a fan) oh and Mexico sucks my friend Just messing with you; Fortunately for you Mexico does possess that “thing” that eludes US soccer; a little instinct and creativity.
