So the rumor is Al Jefferson their pick for Amare. Im sorry but Al jefferson is every bit as good as Amare and less injury prone. So since the wolves are under valuing him. I say we swoop and purpose a trade. My trade would be

    Scola
    Tmac

    for
    Al
    Mike Miller

Jefferson is one of the few guys I would dangle Scola for.

Al Jefferson is great but I would say Amare is definitely better. Let's not forget that Al Jefferson is coming off an injury himself so I don't see him being any less injury prone. Amare is coming off a eye injury compared to Al Jefferson's ACL injury. That's a big difference. I'm surprise doh that they would want to trade him already esp. after the great season he had. Maybe they think he won't be the same after the injury or maybe they just think Amare is better for them. But I laugh at your trade proposal. Scola is good but Jefferson is way above him and Tmac isn't nothing but a big expiring contract right now. I don't think they would take that over Amare Stoudemire. I know I surely wouldn't.

So in your opinion , Scola and T-mac are good enough to trade for amare?

t-mac only makes sense for teams that are on the brink of being great, they take a huge gamble when they trade for him (espeically in the offseason). So an Amare trade would make more sense, since the suns can be a very good team if tracy is half as good as he used to be (and if they keep shaq). On the otherhand, the wolves wouldnt want an ageing superstar to play with there developing young swingmen

There's nothing we have that Minny would want for that guy, nothing. Not unless they're more brain dead than I think they are.

A Jefferson trade looks near impossible. Does Minni really want T-Mac's expiring contract? I don't know much about their financial situation, but they're roster indicates that they are not paying too much salaries compared to other teams since they don't have any big name talent other than Jefferson.

Minni needs trades that will bring youth and a superstar. Neither T-Mac or Scola are young.

Al Jefferson is much much better than Amare. If the guy played in NYC or LA, he would be an allstar already. The guy works hard at both ends of the court. How many times can you have said that about Amare?

Tmac is an expiring that is why a team picks him up not for teams "on the brink of being great". get that out of your mind. NO ONE will trade for T Mac expecting him to put them over the top. It will be completely a salary dump now I am not saying that the timberwolves will be dumping salary.

Here are the teams I am expecting for us to deal with, because they have lost money or losing money.
    Golden State
    Nets
    Bucks
    Hornets
    Pacers

Maybe I haven't seen enough of his game, but Jefferson seems to me more like a mobile center rather than a power forward.

And with any starting caliber big we bring in for the foreseeable future, you have to consider how he'd fit with Yao. I don't know if Jefferson is a great fit in that regard.

Al Jefferson can anchor a team as the main man far better than Amare can. I pity any squad that builds around Stoudamire.

Only way this makes sense in my eyes, is that the Wolves are in trouble financially and see Amare as a better star to market. He probably would help attendance more than Jefferson, who's still relatively obscure to the mainstream nonfan.

All things considered, I think Kevin Love would be a better target. I was surprised to see his name mentioned in trade talks with Memphis recently. If Houston could pull that off, they would be sitting pretty for many years to come. Love's game is solid for a 4 now...I can only imagine what it would be 3 years from now...as long as he stays in shape, he'll be a solid player in the NBA for many years.

Amare is an expiring also, so this doesn't make any sense whatsoever for the timberwolves...Amare will not re-up with them

It's not gonna happen ,they are determined to rebuild the team around him.TMAC's contract is really amazing, but neither of wolves would like this trade.

Bingo. No way Amare resigns with the Wolves. I think this rumor is bogus.

They aren't gonna give up their one really good player for Scola or Battier. C'mon now! Unless they know something about his knee....
