David Lee is a Center or can play Center. David Lee and Landry off the bench is pretty good to me.

    Dude... AL Harrington.

    Approve or no?

David Lee would be solid too, but like already mentioned we have Scola. Harrington could start at the 3.

    Curry/Lee/#8 sounds awesome to me.

If the Knicks made that offer, we should take it without hesitation.

I like Al Harrington as well, as he has been mentioned.

Not too sure where your argument is going when you're saying Lee would cause a logjam yet Amare wouldn't. If this trade does happen, I think its only to break up the hefty $23 mill expiring into smaller pieces to get more better assets from other potential deals. I wouldn't mind getting Chandler but I doubt they'll let him go since he's good and cheap. Lee S&T wouldn't be all that bad only depends on what wants to get paid adding to our summer drama of him and Artest. Lee could either easily be sent to another team or if he remains here, they'll be minutes as he's shown he can play C which I think Amare could too when Yao is out. Neither will get paid to use their Rockets jersey to be a backup which could mean Scola would be coming off the bench???

If PF were a weakness, bringing in Amare would be tempting. But it's not. I'd rather have our two-headed monster of Scola/Landry at PF, and be able to upgrade elsewhere, than bring in injury-risk Amare.

We aren't going to get Lee AND the #8. Maybe one or the other, but not both. Lee, I wouldn't mind. But how much of an upgrade is he over Scola. Far better rebounder than Scola, only slightly better on the offensive end. Do we need rebounding from the 4? No we don't.

I think Al Harrington needs to be talked about more. He's a scorer, a 3 point threat, can play multiple positions (talked about starting him at the 3... which is doable). He'd be decent on defense. And there is something to be said about having size in your line-up.

Worst case scenario he doesn't work out and it costs us 10 million dollars (the 2nd year of Currys contract). We aren't going to be in the 2010 free agent hunt because we are going to want to sign Scola, Lowry, Artest (in 2009), Landry and the rest of the guys.

If we let Tmac walk and we don't do anything, after signing back all of the guys we want back, we might have like 7-10 million left. Which would net us a guy like Al Harrington.

Yes, d.lee can play backup center.
but i think d.lee is looking a large contract and
i am not sure what contract should rockets give him...
scola & landry only get 3m next season...

the new york fans would eat him alive...he would have a a mental breakdown. I'd love to see Spike Lee agonizing when Tmac starts to pull the same stuff there.

tmac was on great behavior before last year when injuries got the best of him physically and mentally.

if he's relatively healthy next year, expect him to be on his best behavior as he attempts to get another contract.

usually it takes 3-4 years in a city before tracy gets to ya ;)

david lee was #2 in doubles doubles last year. what makes you think he wants to be a backup? he wants to be an all-star in this L. i'm sure he won't say no to the trade, but he's not going to be in any of our future plans or he might demand to be traded right after he gets traded here.

    Doubt we get Amare anyway.

Supposedly the TWolves are dangling the #6 + Al Jefferson for Amare.

If true how do the Suns not take that offer lol

 oh Yes, Of course, he will go all out- 100%- on defense..... Even JVG said, if T-mac wants he can be all defensive first team- the only thing that can stop Tracy Mc Grady is Tracy Mcgrady- which is the core issue

The way I wish it will go down.

We do end up trading pieces with NY.

Houston obtains: Curry, D. Lee, #8 pick from Knicks
    Knicks: Receives Tracy McGrady

    Houston obtains Steve Nash
    Suns Receives: #8 pick + Brooks + Landry + 2nd 2010 pick

    Houston Resigns Artest

    perfect off-season :)

Yes Lee would cause a big logjam at the PF spot cause he and Scola are very similar to one another. We don't need that when we can use one of them for a trade and btw, Scola is way cheaper. Now on Amare... He is an elite PF in the league that has proven to be very good playing at the Center positon too (think back when the Suns were sick an had Marion playing PF with Amare playing C). He would be an upgrade over both Scola and Landry period. But now that I hear the the Timberwolves are possibly considering trading Jefferson and there pick for Amare I don't see us getting him. :( Next best option is getting a high pick and drafting Rubio, Curry or Harden (without the S :p ) and then try to get a veteran back-up center like Chandler of the Hornets. Then later sign Artest and Wafer and we are ready to rock. :D
