    This rumor might be legit.

Mchale parts ways with the franchise and the new guy immediately wants to trade Jefferson + the no.6 for Amare, getting a big name player to make a big splash. Personally I wouldn't even do Jefferson for Amare straight up, but I've always loved AJ's game.

Suns make out like bandits in that deal if you ask me. I think they'd need to move Shaq too, though. Al is going to need a lot more room to work down low than Amare ever did.

That's highway robbery by Phoenix. Jefferson is a better player than Amare so why Minnesota would also throw in a lottery pick is beyond reason.

no way in hell Minny does this trade unless they get the 14th pick from the Suns and Barbosa..... Amare would be a 1 year rental for Minny, hes not gonna resign with them... Even if they add Barbosa , the 14th pick and Amare for AJ and the 6th pick, I still cont see this trade make any sense for Minny

well if Minny trades for Amare then wouldn't they at the very least want to have Amare agree to a contract extension first?

I don't see Amare wanting to sign up for Minnesota.

Seems like a bs rumor to me.

Count me in as another guy who thinks this makes no sense. Amare is an inferior defender and rebounder to Jefferson, plus Amare is a little over 2 years older. Then throw in a high lottery pick? What? Why in god's name would a lottery team want to get older? Why?

You read the news and you know it's BS if you understand NBA.

Amare has a player option in 2010 and you think he'll extend his contract with T-Pups??? Impossible! Amare is a dude like attention and he won't stick with a team like T-Pups. So, why will T-Pups trade for Amare for 1 season???

I call BS on this one. There is not an ounce of logic in this for Minnesota. I've been on the "Trade for Amare!" bandwagon all summer but Jefferson is by far the better player. Better player, better contract, better fit. Why you would swallow all those factors AND squander the #6 is beyond me.

Torn ACL no less. It isn't the end of the world like it used to be, but why the heck would PHX do this deal until they see what Jefferson could do?

Why does Minny do this deal at all???

Minnesota would have to work some other deal, somehow, some way, for Amare to want to stick around. It could be done, it's possible, but not entirely likely.

If you move Jefferson out of the darkness that the Wolves franchise has become, he might just become an All-Star like he deserves.

No way Minnesota does this if they're smart enough. They will be viewed in the same class as Memphis and New York in terms of horrible decision-making if this goes down.

Bwahaha! Since when did Isaiah Thomas take over for the Wolves? Trade a stud PF in Jefferson + the #6 for a broken down, drama queen in Amare?

If that trade goes down, it will be a perfect example of why second rate franchises stay second rate.
