I believe Coach RA should be fired.

I blamed Rockets failure in this year on Coach RA. I think he should be fired.

Last year Rockets had an amazing run. They had a 22 wins in a row with Yao injured later on and finished 55 wins. If Rafer was healthy in playoff, they should have good odds to beat Jazz and advance. Nevertheless, for the first time in Yao’s era, Rockets showed they are true contender. And then they added another impact player on Ron without much cost of current roster and a veteran with rings on Brent Barry and a great steal on Von Wafer. Chuck Hayes and Luther Head became the 10th/11th players on bench. They used to be starter and 6th man of the team.

Last year Rockets won 55 games. This year by adding another impact player on Ron, a full-season healthy Yao, seasoned Scola in the much weaker western conference, Rockets only won 53 games. It’s a big step back. It’s big underachievement. It was mostly coach RA’s fault. He should go. They should bring back coach JVG. See what happened when Lakers brought back Phil Jackson. It’s well-known that coach JVG is the most prepared coach in the league. He will discipline Rockets to beat those bottom teams deadly. Don’t worry about the offense. Rockets had more offense weapons than any time of Yao’s era.

Coach JVG believes in these players. He believed that these Rockets could beat the fakers in 6 games. Furthermore, Coach JVG always overachieved and was a winner. He brought #8 NY to the final. On the other hand, coach RA always was a loser. Sure, he won lots games in Blazers and Queens. But please don’t forget that at that time, people thought Blazers and Queens were better teams, but were consistent beaten in NBA finals and conference finals.

I believed and still believe if everybody is healthy, Rockets should win close to 70 games and dominate the league. Even if either TMac or Ron went down, they still should win more than 60 games and have decent chance to win it all. They are this good. They proved it by defeating the fakers on their own court without TMac and Rafer and put fakers into seven without Yao. Maybe we can argue that the fakers didn’t play hard enough in the series after Yao went down, but it is fakers’ nature, and it is why they are the fakers. Rockets just took advantage of it. Rockets played extremely hard, even Charles and Kenny would like to ‘Get Red’.

We can’t blame on anybody about injures. In juries are unpredictable and not controllable. But I will blame this year’s failure of Rockets on coach RA. No doubt he’s one of the best in the business. But he definitely did a worse job this season. Rockets lost about 14-15 games to the bottom teams in the first half of the season. Rockets are definitely a better team. They beat the better teams. Coach RA didn’t do the right thing to adjust it. He didn’t motivate the players well. He didn’t rest or bench the injured stars. But rather he found the excuse as injury plague. This attitude had worst influence on team. The players and management lost their self-confidence. Yao publicly admitted it to the Chinese media after the season that he lost his confidence in the middle of the season. The management never admitted it publicly, but Rafer trade showed the management gave in this season. They didn’t think Rockets had a chance without Tmac. The team never recovered from there. What they thought is to pass the first round, never a bigger picture. Until the season was over, they found they gave the most fit to the fakers in the whole league.

This is very special team. They are full of heart of the champion. Luis/Battier/Hayes are big winners and true champions. Ron/AB/CL/KL are fighters. All are hard workers and not one headache players. They are talented. Seven players at least scored 20+ once in a single game. They had two and half top defender in the league. They are a championship team. They deserved better than 2nd round exits. If they won a couple of games more, they would not face the young Portland, the 3rd best team and the best shooting guard in Roy in the West. Then Yao might not injure so quickly. You never know. At least, Rockets would go further than stopping at the second round.

I can’t believe that so many so-called Rockets fan didn’t believe this team and these players. Somebody here called me an idiot. Probably they are right because I am so stubborn to agree another idiot, Ron Artest. He said something like the season was a total failure because Rockets didn't win the world championship.

I like this idiot. I said long time ago that Rockets should go for him and would get him at a bargaining price. Jon Feign said it was a long shot at that time. But it happened last year. I hope Rockets will bring him and everybody back, even Tmac. They only need half Tmac to win this league. If a shrunk KB and the fakers can win this year, Half Tmac definitely can help Rockets win it all next year. If things don’t work, Rockets still had lots time to trade Tmac before the trade deadline. His expired contract will be very valuable.

I think the most need of Rockets should be an experienced and successful point guard to maximize Yao’s ability. It will be done if Rockets can sign Jason Kidd by free agent or to trade Tmac for Steve Nash.

The reason they lost all those games to bottom feeders is because they did not know who was playin every night. SO STFU ALREADY!!!

    a big step back dude?!
we had more injury problems than any other year!!!
and if anything this "stepback" shows how much t-mac means to the team man!
we made it to the second round this year, and that is something we all must appreciate due to all the adversity we went through!
    i mean come on...
    shane out for a while
    ron out for a while
    tmac in and out
    unstable point guard postioning
    not signing deke until jan.
    trading rafer
and trying to find a right rotation

if anything rick adelman should have been coach of the year with all he has been through, and keeping this team strong to even make it that far! everyone even counted us out of the first round!
so be strong, and never give up in your houston rockets baby!!!!! go rockets! go rockets! go rockets!!!!! Its championship time! ;) :D
