I would imagine you might get jacked in Chavez Ravine (Dodger Stadium) by some gangbangers if you crossed them the wrong way.

Myself and 2 buddies went to Chicago and caught a Cubs-Astros game last summer at Wrigley Field.

    http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=280805116.

We sat in the Right Centerfield bleachers where I had my Red Astros jersey on. I can't emphisize enough how it was a complete sea of Cub blue out there so we stuck out like a sore thumb.

Early on as it appeared that the Cubs were going to blow us out, their fans were pretty chatty but also letting us know that we were definitely in enemy territory. When Carlos hit a 2-run shot to put us up 7-6 we were going crazy but the Cubs fans had enough of being nice. We started getting calls and taunts from all kinds of people to around us that were definitely not Rated PG. We had a family just to the right of us that left and we're pretty sure it was because of the language. Also, because it was an afternoon game and prety hot (lower 90's if I can remember) the Cubs had 2 guys come out with an industrial size spray gun to spray down the fans with a water and cool us off. The spray was like a mist but the operator had the ability to control the stream as I soon found out. As they were spraying down our section, he turned it on myself and and my boys and let us have it for a good 10 seconds. We weren't completely drenched but pretty close. The fans were laughing at us like crazy but honestly it felt pretty good because it was so hot and any relief (even excessive) was welcome.

Anyway, the Cubs came back to win due mainly to a huge 3-run HR by Soriano. As soon as the final out was recorded and the fans started singing "Go Cubs Go", we quickly made our way out of there as several fans gave us their version of the friendly confines. I knew what I was getting into by wearing the jersey, but it was still a really exciting--and intense-- experience.

Not sure...my guess would be soccer in Europe or South America.

My only local story was when I was living in Dallas and we played the Mavs in the first round (05). I was at a bar (McKinney Avenue Tavern) wearing a rockets shirt with my wife (girlfriend at the time) and we were surrounded by Mavs fans. They yelled at us all night but we ignored them and cheered for the Rox (though not obnoxiously). Then someone threw a bunch of fries at us. I ignored it, but was getting pissed. They started chanting the Yao Ming song at us when Yao turned the ball over. After the game ended, I went to the bathroom and my gf went outside to make a phone call. I met her outside and some little Mavs punkass fan was in her face talking ****. To a girl...who was only there because of me.

I would be lying if I said it didn't give me a lot of pleasure to feel his nose shatter when I hit him right in the face and I laughed at him as he was writhing on the ground in pain as his nose bled like a stuck pig

    God, I hate Mavs fans

soccer can be dangerous, those ppl are crazy!

i went to 2 san antonio games this season and the worst i got was dirty looks. I went to the last Rockets' game in Dallas and that wasn't all that bad either and trust me, I was yelling and cheering for the Rockets. I'm not a quiet fan =D

This is my first year really experiencing what fans of opposing teams are like and I must say that Faker fans are really the worst and the most obnoxious! We definetely enjoy talking smack to them because its all part of the fun in the game.
Obviously during the playoffs it was a lot more intense. I never saw a fight like one of the posters wrote earlier. I saw some ppl getting in each others' faces but thats about it.

Now being in LA during game 7 was quite an experience. Kids who were about 10 years old screaming in my face "ROCKETS SUCK" and their parents watching them do this and not tell them anything was quite interesting LOL. so yep, LA fans can be quite mean. I'm glad we were in a big group =)

I'm with you there Yoyo...I think I may have one that can top it, last year at a Rockets game there was a guy sitting right behind the bench with a Pittsburgh Steelers Alan Faneca jersey on! That is just wrong on sooo many levels:

    I) It's a basketball game, a little hard to confuse the two
II) Alan Faneca now plays for the Jets
III) Who the hell wears an OL's jersey, let alone a G

Just another example of the "I have a jersey and I'm going to a sporting event so I should wear it!" Right up there with the guy who wears golf spikes to a golf tournament.
