What do you propose, RocPaint? Moochie and the Drew obligation for Crawford, Crawford for...Jared Jeffries? Q Woods? Nickolz T?

Getting Crawford would be a better bargining chip, but I think you will see something along the lines of a Moochie, KT and #15..
Let the solidifying begin. ;)

sorry to offend then doc..... if you are les i understand ( this team is your toy )but if you are not les alexander then-

is it not compromising the negotiation power of the rockets and their ability to leverage competition if you are leaking info..?

why not release it only to clutch..? then he can release it as needed and clutch always gives credit for the scoop anyway..

what motive other then self promotion would it be to release tips or are you just being a great guy to us on this bbs? what is it?

how would this insider info for us help the rockets??

couldnt you always do it in a discreet manner that wouldnt hurt the rockets negotiation power?

whats the point of cryptic..for some of us but not all??

i understand clutchs desire to have scoops and keep the info fresh to promote the website... but isnt that an info leak we are not necessarily afforded by other teams?? cant it be done in a manner that promotes/proves this website to be great without negative repercussions?

isnt this in effect hurting our beloved rockets??

just wondering... by the way i dont know who you are but who am i?? right??

 seeya

by the way clutch you ask:

"Let me make sure I just understood what you're saying: This does not mean we want or will draft Ming, but if we go a step further and draft Ming, it was obvious all along? "

what i am saying is it is only natural to talk to yao and china etc.. considering we do have the 1st pick and we do need a center..

does that insure we will draft ming?? no but if a blonde and a bruntte wanted to screw you wouldnt you look at both options provided? of course... and we have to explore all options..

if we do draft ming is that a scoop or big revelation? umm no..

I don't know why you have a vendetta with Doc, but I'm guessing that Clutch either gets some of his information from Doc, or confirms some of the things he hears from Doc. Why not go off on him then while you're at it? What's the big deal if he gives it to Clutch and then gives it us? We're going to get it anyway, and I'm guessing he's better at not hurting the Rockets best interest when giving info then Clutch only because of the logical fact that he's in so tight with the organization. I mean my god, if a man walks up to you and gives you $100, and every other week or so he continues to give you 100$, are you going to rip the guy for being an egomaniac, and wondering why he didn't give it to a friend of yours who could have given it to you, or would you just take the 100 bucks?

sirhangover: This is quite simple. You said you trust Clutch. Well, Clutch trusts Doc. He has repeatedly referred to him as an insider and authority on things having to do with the Rockets, and has always shown respect for him. Even when Clutch gives us insider scoops, he sometimes says that Doc has told it to him, or confirmed it. And, Doc has been fun for most of us on the BBS ...

... so if you trust Clutch, who trusts and values Doc, maybe you should too, along with the rest of us.

This may not have been your intention Sir, but when a person makes a post like this, they usually come across like those who are insecure, putting down someone whom everyone else respects, expecting others to then somehow respect them, when in reality, the exact opposite takes place. ... I'm sure YOU had a different intention... but that's why you are probably getting negative responses...

now, more importantly, Doc, anything else you can say you've heard about Odom, Lewis, possible trades, #15/38 picks, Rice, Taylor, Thomas, Francis/Mobely's attitudes, or anything else we're considering doing to upgrade the team this summer?

How much clearer can it be stated from our most connected source:

We will draft Ming.
Barring an unbelievable offer...
We will not trade Ming.

There is no secret deal to be compromised.

The name is Yao, the time is Now.

Bring Ming.

According to TroyBaros (who i do not doubt ever since he proved me wrong with the Dunleavy thing), isn't something supposed to go down with Francis now that we are taking Ming?

Troy my boy...talk to me...

I never really doubted DocRocket, but I know I won't now that I've heard that we'd all be surprised if we found out who he really was.

It was a scoop when a couple of other insiders on this board, and several "insider" sportwriters from other cities said the Rockets were trading the pick.

Don't shoot the messenger.....glad to hear that the team is drafting the future starting center for the western conference all stars.

Ming is the thing.

Now, about 15.......let's package it with Cato or KT and get someone like Odom......

I'm all for the Rockets drafting Ming! Hey Doc, thanks for all your input regarding the Rockets.

Roc Paint, I know all along you have stated that the Rockets would make a trade once they finalized the Ming situation (Chinese Gov't & other vultures). This potential trade with whomever, would it take place during the draft or do the Rockets and the other team have to wait until after the draft?

Damn this is the best BBS in the net! :D :D :D
