What is a Brooks/Landry package worth?

Curious to get the boards response on this question....?

As well, what would that same package be worth add Tmac?

I have to think that with Clutchs latest scoop, Brooks can be had.

I like landry, but I think our other PF besides Scola has to be tall, and a better finisher than Landry (although Carl is good there) As well, a little bit better at creating interior offense.

What does Landry/Brooks equal in value?

It is hard for me to gauge as I have to second guess my homerness when I can see a team like Washington giving #5+ Filler/kind of crappy contract maybe?

I think alot of both of them I guess.

    JEEZ,

Why is everyone so keen on getting rid of the most exciting PG we have had in years?

The guy is a 2nd year player, just played AWESOME in the playoffs, will only get better.

    Man.....mind boggling.

LOL. OMG!! Let's not overrate these guys. If Morey was able to pull off another steal of a deal and it means for example you would get a player the caliber of Kevin Martin or Danny Granger for Brooks, Landry, and a future pick, you do it ALL DAY LONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DD, I like AB a lot

Every player has a trade value. I just want to know what everyone else thinks.

For example, I would trade him for the 5th pick. But not the 15th.

Why would you trade him for the 5th pick or higher?? i woudnlt even take the first pick for AB..Did we watch the same playoff series?? Game 4? 34 pts?

Give AB two or 3 yrs and he'll be in at least third team all NBA

The only point guard I'd trade Brooks for, to pick in this draft is Rubio ... I agree that Brooks value is at its highest, but he's also growing fast and furious ... and exactly what we need to defeat LA.

Our greater need is at SG, IMHO ... and backup C.

I see this draft as about 5 guys I would rather have, than having the Brooks/Landry combo.

    I rank this draft as

    1. Griffin
    2. Rubio
    3. Harden
    4. Curry
    5. Thabeet

I would rather have AB and Carl otherwise.

This is a relatively weak draft. I don't except most teams to give up much in return. This could potentially help us out but I don't think we can go beyond #10 at the most, more likely around 14. Griffin is probably staying with the Clippers. There will be a market for Rubio if the concerns about his buyout are resolved,Thabeet and Harden will be in demand as well. Possibly DeRozan,Evans, Hill or Jennings/Flynn. James Johnson and Earl Clark are the dark horses IMO. There might be an outside chance of getting the 5th pick if the Wizards are desperate to get Brooks as a back up to Arenas.(Don't see that happening).

I don't think DM should offer Landry/Brooks because a 2 for 1 exchange is risky for us.

They are worth a Kevin Martin or Mike Bibby in my opinion. AB/Landry is a good package for teams looking to upgrade their supporting cast to contend.

What are commodities in this league? Speed and shooting have to be up there. I just don't think trading Brooks is a good idea unless you are significantly upgrading.

I'm cool with shopping Landry if he (plus whatever) nets us a solid 4/5 that can score consistently in the post and help offset Yao's yearly major injury. Brooks, on the other hand, only goes out in a DREAM type move.

And a cheap contract. Don't forget that!

No, what the Rockets need to do is add a veteran point guard and keep Brooks.

Maybe we can get a lottery pick for this weak draft and a bench player for them.
I am thinking about Toronto, who is after demarr rosean can be a trade partner for them, with Bosh leaning towards leaving the team a package of Landry and Brooks could get us his pick and a nice player.

They can also maybe get us Bargnani or Calderon if Toronto is going into rebuilding mode.

I agree. A big pg like Jaric would make sense because he's big enough to guard 2's and allow brooks to be a scorer.

Do you then trade away Lowry, or play him minimal minutes as a third-string point guard?

Stop jumping on the Curry bandwagon. He is an upgraded Aaron Brooks. We won't be targetting him guaranteed.

    TMac/Lowry/future 1st(2010 or 2011)
    for
    Nash/JRich
I'm working on Kerr ;) to get this done here so we can blow it up and stop re-tooling in the desert. You can then keep Brooks and rent Nash for a year while adding a legit 2 guard.

Another nice young player who's not quite a star. I'd say somebody like a Paul Milsap, Josh Smith, David Lee, Rudy Fernandez calibur players.

Or a seasoned veteran borderline star like Jason Terry.

Kevin Martin, Danny Granger type of players are out of the question.
