a true third guard that can come off the bench and give us D and and a offensive spark. I look at the Kings with Bobby Jackson and the Rocket teams of old with Sam Cassel. I honestly don't think that Moochie will be that guy. A player that comes to mind is Alvin Williams of Toronto. He's 6'5, can play the point or SG. He also plays outstanding defense. This would give the Rockets the strongest 3-guard rotation in the league, and I think that Toronoto will go for it for possibly KT and Moochie. Yea or Nea??
NAY with a Vengeance I would never send KT over MoT. MoT is such a slug on defence and offensively KT has way more weapons and is a superior defender and rebounder!!! Why does it seem like everyone is so ready to unload KT?? With a tandem of Griffen and KT at the 4 spot, they will more than hold their own against the other PF in the league. The 5 spot is where we got our proverbial asses kicked in 2001/02 no thanks to Cato. If we can find a way to dump Cato and Collier, then let MoT play back up center to Ming. I think that's all he's going to be good for anyway!! To answer your question, I think you make a good point Williams, but I'd trade Mooch and MoT, NOT KT
Yea! any move that makes Moochie expenadable is ok by me. Rocket R Us, I loved watching Kenny Thomas last year. But when comparing his production to Mo Taylors, I certaintly don't see him as a superior rebounder and a superior defender with more offensive game. I know the Mo Taylor versus Kenny Thomas argument has been beat to death, but the reason for this, I think, is becuase the players produce the same exact statistics across the board, yet they play a totally different style of game. So I can see the reasoning in arguing as to which players style of game is more beneficial to the team, but I cant see the reasoning behind debating which player is superior over the other in any particular statistical department, because they give you the same amount of production...on paper.
I don't know what the consensus on this BBS thinks, but I really want to get Eldridge Recasner back. I think he played well while he was here, and he is definitely an improvement over Moochie. Hell, even Randy Livingston is a better player than the Human Troll Doll.
Keep Moochie, dump Taylor. If we have Ming, the last thing we need is ANOTHER jump shooting big man. I think we could get a nice player if we package Taylor and 15. Maybe we can trade that to Washington and get Jared Jefferies. Or we can take Chris Jefferies at 15, I hear only good things about him, and he's super athletic. Athleticism should be the goal of this team if we want to get better at the fastbreak. We have athletic guards, we're gonna get an athletic center, Griff and KT are athletic PF's, the only position where we lack athleticism is at the 3. Chris can hit the 3, was one of the best defenders in college(a lot of you guys say we need defense), and he can jump out of the gym. It would be like adding Richard Jefferson with a shot IMO.
I don't know about picking up Alvin Williams, but any move to dump Mo "Buns of Cinnamon" Taylor is in my book. If we can move up to get a better SF by packaging KT and # 15; that also gets my vote (although I'm not registered). As far as Moochie "Hairball" Norris, ship him out also. Then that Cato dude. I think he's here until Ming gets his game down. His stats were equal to that of another great ex-player this past season; and he does do what a lot of other Rockets don't - he plays defense. Just mind ramble and wish listing.
FYI, to through it out there, Cat and Alvin are good friends. This is the player who tried to get him to come to the Raptors.
Alvin is a solid player. To have a back-up of that quality is a big plus. Also, he is very good friends with the cat. If that trade could work, im all for it.
I believe we shall rise up from the valley of lottery to defeat the dynasty that has ruled this league for years. And when that day cometh, we shall exude glory on the streets that are paved by our masses. The days that follow wilt not be forsaken for old leaders, but bathe in their defeat. On that day, I will remember this one. Perhaps I got a little carried away. Go Rox! This summer rocks.
