the guy was anti-semitic. wright is anti-semitic. it seems like a pretty direct link to me.

    maybe wright is right wing?

maybe the guy who killed the military recruiter in little rock was a kossack.

or maybe there's no link at all, and they're all just nutjobs, varieties of which come from all across the political spectrum.

First of all that wasn't 20 years of that. You don't know what you're talking about.

Secondly, you can bring that up all you want, but it doesn't change the points that mc Mark made, and you haven't refuted any of it.

You can't disown this guy if you cried foul on the DHS report because it warned about people like him and guys on here acted like the whole report was a slap in the face to conservatives in general.

    Deep Thought

How long will it be until white supremacists claim that the shooting at the Holocaust Museum never happened?

You have the most replies in this thread, all about this particular point. Not surprised that you have no comments about the actual event.

Who gives a flying f*** what "wing" this piece of s*** was? Does it really matter? The things some of you choose to care about absolutely mystifies me. "He's right!" "No, he's left!" WHO F***ING CARES? HE'S A DERANGED LUNATIC WHO WALKED INTO A MUSEUM AND OPENED FIRE. THERE WERE BUS LOADS OF KIDS THERE.

This scum of the earth decided that his brand of idiocy was justified in this horrific terroristic act. The should have let the s*** head bleed on the floor. Let him die.

May Officer Steven Tyrone Johns rest in peace. He is a hero. My prayers are with his family.

Yanno, if this wasn't centered around a tragedy, this would be funny. You guys are arguing over who's nutcase this is. Does that really freakin matter? Both sides have whackjobs and your a partisan fool if you deny it.

Can we not come together and acknowledge that we all have crazy bastards aligned with our own personal views and call them out for what they are? If we can't do that, then the divisions will only widen and the ****nuts on both side will continue to increase.

A note was found in von Brunn's car. Here's one of the passages

    [rquoter]
Commencing in the late 19th century, the term Yellow Dog Democrats was applied to U.S. Southern voters who voted solely for Democratic candidates because Abraham Lincoln was the Republican president who led the Union against the Confederacy, and so implies that they would "vote for a yellow dog before they would vote for any Republican".

more screwing with the narrative: :

[rquoter]Weekly Standard may have been shooter target
FBI agents visited the offices of the conservative Weekly Standard magazine yesterday after a shooting at the Holocaust Memorial Museum

A senior Standard staffer confirmed the visit but declined to discuss it in detail. An FBI spokeswoman, Katherine Schweit , also declined to comment on the investigation.

Two other sources said two FBI agents arrived shortly after 5:00 p.m. Thursday at the 17th Street offices of the magazine. They told staffers that they had found the address of the magazine on a piece of paper associated with the shooter, James von Brunn, and asked whether the Standard had received any threats.

The magazine is about a mile north of the Holocaust Museum, and there's no other indication that von Brunn had targeted it. Von Brunn's published rants included attacks on "neocons," and the Standard has been at the heart of the neoconservative movement.

The suggestion that the Standard may have been a target complicates any view of the racist shooter in contemporary left-right terms. Von Brunn's white supremacist roots put him under the rubric of a "right-wing extremist," but the substance of his views -- which included everything from believing that President Bush may have been in on the September 11 attacks to denying that President Obama is an American citizen -- are too far on the fringe to fit into conventional political classification.

The focus on the Standard, though, appears to be of a piece with his central motivation: Anti-Semitism. In one essay, Von Brunn attacked "JEWS-NEOCONS-BILL O’REILLY," and the suggestion that neoconservatism is a specifically Jewish conspiracy is common on the racist fringe.[/rquoter]

I think you are probably the first person in the history of the world to call Jimmy Carter a yellow dog Democrat.

I can see Casey's view point on this. The guy did this senseless act because of his racist viewpoint, not because of his conservative/right wing view point.
