Hakeem was The Dream and he brought us 2 championships.
Ming may bring us the Dynasty.

Steve, Eddie Griffin and Ming could all end up becoming franchise players. In 3 years it is possible (although optimistic) that these 3 players could develop into elite players (Francis healthy is there now).

What is amazing is that CD and Rudy in the rebuilding process managed to get potentially the best player in each of those drafts. If Eddie Griffin develops fully to his upside he will be better than Gasol in 2 more years (stronger, more mature, better developed low post etc.)

I know this is all Dream world, but wouldn't a Rocket Dynasty in 2-4 years be great for Houston.

How about 4-5 championships. Might as well dream big.

Getting Francis, Griffin and the #1 pick this year seems to put Destiny on the Dynasty.:) :) :)

Sometimes a little luck doesn't hurt.

Exactly DaDa, it takes a LOT of luck to win a championship. If Horry doesn't throw a towel in Danny Ainges face, the Lakers likely aren't collecting all of these championships. If Rudy doesn't like that "Mario guy playing for the Trailblazers", the Rockets don't win their 2nd championship most likely. If the Rockets don't outbid a ton of teams for Drexler's services they definitely don't win a 2nd championship. If Seattle starts their playoff collapses a year earlier the Rockets might have 3 championships. If Seattle doesn't trade Pippen's rights to Chicago the Bulls definitely don't have 6 rings. If Utah keeps the rights to Dominique Wilkins they may have a ring or two. LUCK! LUCK! LUCK!

If the queen had balls she'd be the king.

If the Rockets had listened to the Blazers offer of the #2 pick (and I forget the player) for Ralph Sampson the we would have set the NBA record for most championships by a single team with Jordan & Olajuwon running the same floor their entire careers.

Luck is the perfect word- However fate also seems to be at work.

Its like the Lakers getting Shaq and Kobe. Possibly the 2 best players in the league.

We are a ways off from Dynasty- but it would be great for all Rocket fans for us to be on the verge of something really special.

Don't forget we could have drafted Drexler instead of McCray

Yep and if we had it is likely that Portland would have selected Michael Jordan and not Sam Bowie.

There's a million and one things that we could have looked back and said what if.

    Hindsight is always 20/20.

I love that page despite the fact that some of the trades are indeed agonizing.
