    i foresee two possible futures.

    one similar to this:

    or, this:

despite where many think we are headed, i like to believe we are headed to a more utopian future. either way, 2069 or beyond for me.

I'm glad to have been born in 1982. I got to see the growth of the technology industry. CD players, cell phones, the internet, etc.

I could be very wrong, but I'm guessing it'll be a while before we experience another period of growth like that. One that so drastically changes the way we live our lives.

Of course, I could have gone back to 1939 and seen similar change, but I've just never thought I'd enjoy living back then. And by 2069 the world could be a really ugly (uglier) place. Not to mention there's a possibility that I'll live to see that year anyway. So yeah, I'm good with what I got dealt.

1939 is tempting but I have to go 2069. I want my robot sex doll.

So basically it is a choice between

    1) My same life over again

    2) The past (pre 1939)

    3) Present day baby

    4) Somewhat distant future

In order for best to worse:

    4) I'd like to see the future, even if it is only for a couple of hours, whether it is 2069 or the 23rd Century, like in Star Trek or Buck Rodgers.

    1) The chapter on my life is not complete yet... I guess. Something amazing could happen. If it did happen, I would push it to the top of the list. Outside of that, maybe I could go back and change few things in my life.

    3) Present day baby - 2009 is pretty comfortable place to live for the average American baby.

    2) There is nothing in the past that I won't unless it is treasure, gold, money, or something of monetary value. I doubt that I would want to live in 1841, 1768, 1955, and etc. I am not that much into the past, except for the accomplishments of historical figures and certain outstanding events. I think modern times are far more liberally as well socially, but is very much taxing and expensive. Hard to say.

The year I was born...1977. Why? Because I got to see the 94 and 95 championships seasons.

Also b/c the environment might be screwed later on

2069...BC. Pre 1939. When people like Methuselah were living to be 700 and stuff

As dystopian as we always forecast the future world to be, there have been great advancements in the past couple centuries that have been remarkable.
There's so much to be proud of. I wish we could focus more on the good instead of predicting ways everything is gonna crash.

2012 is when the galactic alignment happens (i.e., armegeddon). So, I would rather be born in 2013, when it's over.

I would like to have been born in the late 1500's France, or mid 1500's France.

I also wouldn't mind being in college during the Jazz age in the U.S.

    The past for review.
    The present for the moment
    The future for dreams.

Although I do a pretty good job staying in the moment, and used the past for education, I do LOVE the future and the posibilities it offers.

So, I'll take 2069 for the win.

I don't think either one of us is quite that old. B-bob maybe.

But I do think we fell into a sweet spot in a time and place of world history that would be tough to beat. I don't know if any generation or race, or nationality can ever match the fun of the sex, drugs, rock and roll, economic abundance and freedom we had.

Some of it though was just the bliss of ignorance.
