Lots of quality in there, but hey, you don't respect it anyway, I am sure you believe you know best....

If this guy is such a real deal then I wonder why hasn't any team try to sign him to a contract to be the team's trainer   unless he has had the opportunity and I didn't pay no mind

    Here's a question...

This is all 'what ifs,' but what if Tracy gets back in great shape, and we see the Tracy we saw 5 years ago. And, what if we win the NBA finals, thanks to Tracy. Do we sign him again due to his 1 good season with us, or let him go so not to worry about his injuries ever again?

If this happens, I think you have to sign him but I would bet a lot against him ever suiting up in the Rockets uni again...

Glover makes more as an indy than he could on a team.

Tracy leading anyone to an NBA Championship is joke territory.

Well the first part of your question is easy. If we saw the T-Mac we seen 5 years ago the front office is going to do something stupid and trade him to get something out of it since his value would be high.

If somehow someway we win the title ( dont hold your breath considering 2 of our stars are coming off injuries ) then no one but Morey, RA, and Les would know the future for McGrady. All we can do is just play fantasy basketball on here and guess whats going to happen.

Havent you seen the crazy ideas of bringing in Corey Maggette :p

You still believe TMac can lead a team to get a champion?
He may get a champion if he rehabs well and joins a good team. But it is close to impossible for him to play 100% of his prime, and his weak mentallity never qualifies him a leader of a championship team.
I do hope him recover well next season and contribute something to the team. If he can play defense and play in the same way as the 2nd game vs Denver last season, the Rockets will be a championship contender team. But to be realistic, this chance is rather scarce.

Just trade Tmac for Jermaine O'Neal, then we have our backup centre for next season and clear a ****load of capspace and then can keep both Ron and Wafer.

Well, of course that's all you've been trying to say, DD. I don't think I gave you the impression that that's not what you've been doing, have I?
    I understand. I do. Really.

Cross my heart and hope to die.

    But tell me...
...why do you think it's wiser to not pay the guys here who've proven McGrady to be a cancerous blight on the Rockets' kidneys?

The Rockets, by all accounts, managed just fine with that $23 million dollar hole in the roster with what they had, right?

Didn't Luis Scola and Carl Landry and Aaron Brooks, or even Von Wafer and Ron Artest, earn that money you're looking to give to at least ONE guy you don't really want when you move McGrady?

Won't you be risking letting guys who proved themselves to bey keys to the Rockets' newfound success walk?

I know letting McGrady's contract expire doesn't automatically free up $23 million dollars for the Rockets...
    ...but come on, man....

...the way this whole season played out just has to have you giggling like a little girl at how right you were about McGrady.....?

If that is what you think you misread me good sir.

All I want is a Rocket's championship, come hell or high water.....

And to me, nothing else matters, not any individual player....I would trade any of them if it made the team better.

I do think we are very close and maybe, just maybe McGrady's contract can net us a player or two that will get us over the hump.

well all those good and honorable people who joined this board from the beginning are Rocket fans.

Just take a sample of DD's blood, it's in his DNA.

The red blood cells look like Kenny Smith and Vernon Maxwell
The white blood cells look like Matt Bullard.

    Amen brother...

Nothing else matters, I don't think there should be anyone on our team that is untouchable, as long as it helps us get to the promise land..

and i hope it does. the only 2 weaknesses on this team right now are: playmaking wing + backup C. i don't think tracy can net us those 2 positions where both players will be high level players, but i think he'll net us one.

unless we keep him to start the season and he comes back and plays remarkably well, then yes, his contract AND play can net us those 2 types of players. if not, i'm satisfied with either/or.

then we can use ron/landry/lowry as trade bait for the other missing piece.

morey has his work cut out for him. hopefully he'll deliver this offseason.
