I'm with Tinman , all T-Mac fans could talk about is his stats and his past. I will never want to see Knee-Mac wearing Rockets uniform again.

The situations are nothing alike. Tracy left not because they lost 19 in a row but because Weisbrod talked mad ish about him. Vince left because he was playing horrible and was constantly injured. The orginization never treated him badly, he was just pisted that Julius Erving didn´t want the job as president of the Raptors.

Tracy did not leave because he wanted to be the man in any situation. He left Torotno because he knew he wouldn´t start there unless VC was hit by a car and he left Orlando because the management treated him beyond poorly.

I went to a Heat-Magic game this year and 50 % of the Magic fans had McGrady jersey. The fans have nothing against McGrady..

I just posted 3 articles showing other wise. Should I take your non biased opinion  ?

Don't post false information dude. I saw this game on TV and Craig Sager interviewed Tmac with the a roar of boos in the background. Tmac actually admitted the booing. So you don't trust your favorite player's own words?
they booed him from the introduction to the end of the game. that's alot of booing.

    http://espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=250120019

The sellout crowd, focusing its frustration for last season's 61-loss debacle on McGrady, booed him from introductions on. Many waved signs roasting "Me-Mac" for his recent disclosure that he slacked off during his final season here.
"Actually, Toronto was worse," said McGrady, who angered that city by leaving as a free agent in 2000.
Although the booing was expected, it was still jarring because McGrady could do no wrong here for three seasons.

Bro, it´s natural to boo your past players unless your AI or Billups. I know alot of Magic fans who live in Miami about 80% say they didn´t want to trade him and were mostly pisted at Weisbrod.

Too bad Orlando is located in Orlando not Miami.
And hate to bust your bubble, but no one is going to trust your opinion poll.

this is why to back up my argument, I try to post evidence from reliable news sources.

And if you did watch this game, like me, cause I'm a long time Rockets fan, Orlando fans booed the crap out of him. And it wasn't because they were mad we beat in the 95.

This is all fact. no bias.

why are you even defending Tracy in Orlando? we all know he quit so that's why he wanted out. If you are a Rockets fan back then, you were happy he quit on Orlando. I was, that's why we got him for Steve/Cuttino.

if you really are happy Tmac is in Houston, you are glad that things went sour between the Magic and Tracy.

this is hilarious. why would a Rocket fan EVER go on an Orlando Magic BBS?

    I posted two things

#1 the fans booed his ass through the whole game and called him 'me-mac'
#2 it was documented he quit

I don't really care about what a Orlando BBS board says. I witnessed this game on TNT. When Pippen came back to Houston, I booed his ass from the courtside seats. I wasn't the only one.

It was easy to figure out that Rocket fans didn't like Pippen. It doesn't take a genius if you saw that game on TNT that the Magic fans hated Tmac.

    Did you watch that game?

I want no part of the Tinman rampage so I will keep my distance. However, I believe T-Mac is DONE playing as a Rocket as far as I know. Morey will soon find a counterparty to unload his behemoth contract.

Now looking at the Magic and especially if they lose to the Lakers in the Finals, the question is what's next?

Hedo will get a large deal around 12-15 mil a season for his talent and ability to be the closer in a game.

Howard and Rashard are owed close to 150 million over the next 4 seasons.

Bascially the Magic have no room for improvement beyond what they already have.

In 2 years Rashard will become the new Marbury - underperforming overpaid non-superstar.

I foreshadowed a similiar fate for the Cavs when they overachieved 2 years ago by going to the Finals and then chopping their own feet off by giving Z that 10 million a year deal and trading for washed out Ben Wallace. 24 million locked up on a 3 point shooting Center and undersized declining no offense PF.

Magic are headed down that very road.

Thanks for doing some research for me. All you're doing is making my point. You want to call it "quitting"? Okay, whatever. The point is he was put in a position where there was really no incentive to go all out. Look what you bolded in red and put in huge letters, "The losing grated on McGrady so much..." You may not like to hear this, but many, many players would also lose motivation and not go all out if they were in T-Mac's situation.

But I'm having a hard time trying to figure out why his actions in Orlando is even remotely relevant to his mentality in Houston? He's been on solid playoff teams in Houston every year minus the injury plagued 07-08 season. What's been getting him down mentally in Houston was completely unrelated to losing and being on bad teams - it was his own personal health, along with possible personal and family issues. Again, completely separate issues in his Orlando days. Tracy has NEVER quit on the Houston Rockets and has always gone all out when it mattered the most. And here's some more damning evidence for you haters. Why does Les still like him and support him? Why is he still on the roster to this very day? If he was such a quitter and a cancer, wouldn't the Rockets be willing to ship him out 50c on the dollar? Why people continue to bring up his Toronto/Orlando days as some sort of relevant information to bash him is ridiculous.

First up, the Magic are in NO way the best young team in the league, Portland is loaded with better and younger talent. Hell, other then C. Lee and Howard are any of the players that contribute really that young?

Next, I doubt McGrady is that concerned about the Magic, considering if he had stayed, there is no guarantee that they would make the moves they made to put them in their current situation. Heck, according to Morey, McGrady being hurt was one of the reasons they decided to make the Alston trade.

The best young team in the league is the Portland Trailblazers. It's not even close. With the exception of Howard, the Magic aren't even all that young.

Orlando may be in the Finals, but we're the better team. Let's get back to this when the Magic actually give the Lakers a series.

Tinman, I knew I always liked you. But TOF's would rather have their right nut cut off before they believe Tracy ever did anything other than be a superstar. Toronto hated him, Orlando hated him and now most Rockets fans have come to my side of the fence and hate him too. But I'm sure none of it was his fault, it was his teammates or the coach's or the GM. Personally I regret he ever left Orlando because now he's here. Orlando was right about him, it is "Me-Mac" or as I like to call him Tracy "Fools Gold" Mcgrady.

This season was split with me' the first third I was miserable and didn't even want to watch anymore Rockets games, but after he pulled himself before the trading deadline it was the best season and best team we've had in a long time. For that I have to say Thank you Tracy!

BTW, you do see Tracy jersey here and there but it's normally kids that don't know any thing about how basketball is really played or it could be that fire sale of 1/2 price jersey's that the Rockets had.

Awesome post from an honest Rockets fan!
EVERYBODY (who aren't teenagers) remembered this game cause it was the Steve vs Tmac battle.

I just don't want people to have false information. If it were up to these guys, the game would be that the Orlando crowd was giving him a standing ovation and throwing him rose petals where he walked.

That was not the case as proved by real concrete evidence, not asking a bunch of people wearing tmac jerseys in the streets of florida if they like him.

How many times have we said that? It's starting to become a broken record. T-Mac coming back to his old form is no different than saying Steve Francis was going to come back to his old form 2 years ago. It's over, HE'S OVER.

I agree with you. All championship teams have had a good supporting cast. If Kobe couldn't get out the 1st round once Shaq left, there's no reason to believe that T-Mac would have especially with the likes of the aforementioned he had to play with. Our current cast was by far the best both he and Yao have had. Enough with the injuries, they just need to stay healthy.
