His stats in 99-00 were sick!

    29.7 PPG
    13.7 RPG
    3.0 BPG
    3.8 APG (damn!!)
    57.4% FG

Not sure we will ever see anyone have a season like that again.

I think the Cavs made a huge mistake by not sending Wally and filler for Shaq. He would have gotten them past Orlando. I don't know why they couldn't see that....

He did that on Dream during the NBA finals. The guy is a once in a lifetime freak of nature. We have to remember he is only about 4 inches shorter than Yao and is about 320-340 and just look at how well he moves for someone his age.

The argument has never been who's better, that one's pretty obvious. Shaq constantly ridiculing an up-and-comer who is just trying to live up to his him, his childhood idol, is clearly a douche bag move.

    how about these seasons
    24.8 ppg 3.44 blks 2.6 stl 13.5 rebs
    24.3 ppg 4.59 blks 2.12 slt 14 reb

Dreams 88 and 89 seasons and he did not win deffsive player of the year award either seasons. In 89 he didn't even make the all deffensive team.

They wanted to save money. Plus why would LBJ want to repeat Wade?
He's supposed to be the chosen 1 and his ego wouldn't allow that.
Didn't Kobe spend the entire career to win one without Shaq?

Shaq would and will always be a top 5 center in league history. During his prime, no one can guard shaq once he gets the ball at the low post. If only he had a better free throw percentage, He could have several scoring titles.

Mark Eaton winning defensive player of the year (88-89 was a total travesty, like Camby winning it. People always put too much emphasis on stats. Even though, both are decent on defense, I don't think either player as good as the following players on defense, an older Shaq, Yao, older Mourning or Mutombo, Ratliff, and Okafor.

Hakeem probably should've been, at least 2nd team or 1st over Ewing that year and been considered for DPOY, along with Rodman, Jordan, Nance, or Dumars.

Looking at the stats Dream still deserved to win those years look at the steals especially the fact that he's a Center.
