I understand people saying Biggie can flow better but are rappers with good flow really that hard to find especially now? Pac's lyrics were definitely better and I think that is what sets him apart. It's hard to find a rapper these days not talking about their money, jewelry, cars, etc. Yeah, Pac did it in excess on All Eyez on Me and other songs but a lot, maybe a majority of his other songs were about the hardships of life.
2-Pac wasn't just a rapper, he was a musician, a poet and a icon. IMO, he was hands down better in every category and I still jam to his sh@t in my truck. It makes me feels good, like I'm being true to myself. I was never a big hip-hop guy, thought as a teenager I did listen to alot of the gangster rap, even thought I prefer Rock. I'm not from East or West as I've lived hear in Houston, but 2-pac instantly made me a West Coast nig*a. Something about the East coast style just turns me off. BTW, if 2-Pac was still around he wouldn't be rappen the same stuff, he would have transform and still be at the top. R.I.P
The preacher want me buried why? Cause I know he a liar Have you ever seen a crackhead, that's eternal fire. Biggie was nice, but Pac just was at another level.
You couldn't be more wrong, yes there were another great rappers before the two but none was at the level of a Pac and Biggie. I hate when people bring up the death thing as is thats the only reason they were great because that is so wrong. Pac was already the most talked about rapper doing the 90's dude was already being called the G.O.A.T by 96 before he died. And before Biggie died people was already saying dude rap lyrics was something that the game haven't seen that his flow was so special. I never thought of Pac and Biggie as gangsta rappers. Pac himself has said many times that hes not a gangsta rapper he just raps about what hes seen in his life time. If Biggie was so much of a gangsta rapper he would have loved to go back at Pac, but he didn't he chose not to because thats wasn't his style.
This 2-PAC was a poet, he is still relevant today, and better then any other rapper out there Chilcutt
Yeah it definitely is. Biggie had good music and **** you could listen to over and over again, but come on man. Almost all of Biggie's stuff sounds the same: Been Around the World to Hypnotize. Big Poppa to One more Chance. This coming from a person who really likes him. All of his songs are on my ipod. That said, Tupac had the total package. From some of the best lyrics to awesome music. Nobody will touch 2Pac. This threads poll clearly shows it. Biggie is not even in the same galaxy when it comes to diversity: California Love Changes Hail Mary How do you want it Toss it up I aint mad at cha NOT EVEN CLOSE
Actually, Biggie doesn't even belong in the conversation with Tupac. Tupac had literally dozens of great songs and steadily put out great albums. Christopher Wallace put out one great album and one ok album that got hyped because he died before it was released. Maybe if Biggie had lived 5 more years he might have done enough to get a mention but he just doesn't have the body of work to be mentioned as an all time great rapper. That would be like an NBA player have two great seasons and then leaving the game and being compared to Jordan or Magic.
You could feel Pac's passion in his music. Plus, Biggie's catalog doesn't come close to Pacs'. Biggie was a great rapper, but he is also overrated by many.
Pac is responsible for delivering one of the greatest lines in rap music history: "Mama told me never stop until I busta nut."
The question was who was better WHEN HEALTHY? Are you guys kidding yourself? Biggie when healthy and motivated and in shape is the best rapper in the league. He may have never gotten pass the 1st round but he has proven the stats to dominate, it's not his fault he has pathetic teammates is it? Nevermind, I sound like a T-Mac homer.
I'm part of the Pac >>> Big group I just think it is closer than people make it out to be. Well I guess it would depend on from what perspective you look at it from.
