is Best--Smartphone--Ever! The iPhone really pales in comparison. I am glad I decided to go with this.
I'd take any blackberry curve or bold over the storm any day of the weak. that OS/UI is slow just like Dwangboy had stated.
I had the first Iphone, then the Storm. And honestly, even tough the Storm's screen has a much better quality, cam and all that stuff, the OS is **** compared to apple's. Very slow it gets annoying, expected better from a BB.
the only touch phone i would get over an iphone is the Pre. I have heard a lot of complaints about the storm. the bold, however, is awesome.
the fact that i had to get the curve instead of the bold simply b/c verizon doesn't want the bold to compete w/ the storm pisses me off to no end. i like the curve alright, but goddammit i want the ******* bold. verizon's phone selection is trash. ps - the storm blows.
I have a bold, and I love it. It finally has a bunch of good apps as well, but no where near the iPhone. The only reason why I have the Bold over the iPhone is b/c I like having a touchpad keypad. The touchscreen keyboard has no texture... I know two people with the Storm, and one loves it and one hates it. I like my Bold better, but it depends on what you are used to
I've had a Storm for five months or so now . . . I wouldn't recommend one to anyone. The OS was never designed for touch, and the more you use it, the more disappointed you are with the phone. I haven't upgraded to one of the newer OSes, and I know that'll be faster, but the fact that buttons are still small, autocorrect is stupid, the camera is awful, and the screen click is inconsistent are all constant problems. I don't *hate* the phone, but I am underwhelmed. It's really that there are a lot of really poor design choices, and if they hadn't made some really critically bad decisions, I think the phone would've been really good. Also, the quality of Apps isn't even within sight of the iPhone.
Lol Even most blackberry hardcore fans like the bold better than the storm. (I think the bold is pretty sweet) Storm is a good phone, but just another of the so called 'iphone killers'
Ari. I would love to know why you would say that. Had the chance to play around with the Storm and my goodness. It was terribly buggy. It's a nice phone but the software isn't there yet. That's what makes the iPhone partially popular because of the stable and user friendly OS. Even though I don't like the Bold(look too much like a calculator for my taste), it's a better phone. RIM need to get their act together with their media phone. I mean their other smart phones are still at the top of the line especially for business/corporate people.
My girl has this and it sux...always something f'n up and now it only charges via cpu, which sux...when it works, has pretty cool features, but very slow...she's on her 2nd one...
Yeah I know, WiFi is soo over rated, I never use it. Believe me, I hate hate hate apple, but, there is nothing better than the iPhone. Even the Pre pales in comparison. Plus Verizon? WTF? ugh.
Since the new update for the storm (v4.7.0.148) I've been pretty satisfied with it. BB really fixed alot of the problems issues. Alot easier to text, and click with text to make corrections. They also added a new keyboard function. It looks like the iphone keyboard when its vertical. Web Browser still sux, could be faster.
The iPhone is better. End of discussion. The Bold is ideal, but everyone I know loves the new Curve also.
