I don't know enough to say when to do this or that but it does seem like they need to rethink their baserunning strategy, as a whole.

Puma really clobbered that ball. Just a few to the right...

    arif,

So what do you like about this Bazardo guy? Have you seen him pitch or are you just going off the numbers?

Others I talked to, who have watched him pitch in Round Rock, say he keeps the ball down, throws in the low 90s, and just gets the job done. The numbers certainly look good, but word of mouth means a lot more than numbers to me.

Sampson has just been filthy out of the pen going back to last season.

I've seen him twice (and hopefully for a 3rd time later this week). He's as ready as he's going to be. He is simply dominating AAA right now. Like ari said, he keeps the ball down in the zone. He uses his low-mid 90's fastball well and keeps the hitters off balance with good breaking stuff. He seems to get a lot of swings and misses, but not a lot of K's. I'm not sure what his groundball/flyball ratio is, but I'm sure it leans much more towards grounders.
