Poor DH, he doesn't deserve it, after all its the media that's comparing the two not Howard. Seriously the only person defending Shaq are the big time Yao fans.

First shaq embarassed DH at the all star game for his "between the leg" pass.
Then he disses DH for flopping though shaq does it all the time and consider him 2nd best center in the NBA. Then he disses the whole Orlando org plus Van gundy and now this?

I'm more impress with DH composure through out this ordeal while still giving Shaq props...thats what saddend me.

What is up with the DH hating/dislike all of a sudden? THe media, clutchfans, Shaq and Lebron. Jealous much?

Dwight has what, 2-3 all-stars besides himself? Hedo might not have been an actual all-star but he should have last season. Shard has been an all-star multiple times even in his Sonic days. Jameer may not be playing, but he was a huge reason for their success in the regular season.

LeBron carried a complete joke team to the Finals in 2007. This season all Howard did was show you pathetic LeBron's teammates are and how good LeBron is for winning over 60 games with that supporting cast.

Exactly Dwight never ever asked himself to be compared to shaq, the media did....does it mean anything....no!!

but Shaq is a role model to young centers and they look up to him....he shouldn't be bashing howard or giving him no respect....

also one thing u can say about HOWARD that u can't say about shaq....

have u ever seen DWIGHT HOWARD FLOP????? nopeeeee

Dwight loves to play the game and isn't making the nba a flopping contest

DH takes the high road every time and makes Shaq look like more and more of an ass.

Every time Shaq makes a comment about him, Dh responds to the media (who are trying to provoke the two ) with "I wish he wouldn't make comments like that" and how much he looks up to Shaq as a mentor and teacher.

P.S. Shaq is going to learn very quickly how Kobe's ass tastes

Not this again. Apparently, Shaq has no fans of his own.

    When in doubt, blame YOFs.

Great player on the court but a b**** off the court.
I think shaq is just mad jealous that howard is very lovable off and on the court. If shaq says bad thing about kobe we would understand but DH come on man. He never did or say anything bad to you. Why would you want do something like time and time again ?
Tell me one player in the history of this game who does things like this and gets away with it? No one. I think Shaq has no reason to make fun of anybody be f-ing professional for god sake.

I don't understand the flopping rant ... How is this relevant? It doesn't mean anything in the grand scheme of things. Dwight will embellish at least one time in his life. He's not a saint. They all eventually do it. Shaq didn't start his career "flopping". That's the way the rules have become.

Shaq is MEAN. He has NEVER given respect to up and coming centers. They are below him and he's tired of the media propping them up at his expense. Why should it be different rules for Dwight? I'm not saying it's right but that is how Shaq has always been. I don't feel sorry for Dwight ... it's not like he's being treated differently from everyone else that's crossed his path. He really shouldn't care what Shaq thinks and neither should you. Shaq will eventually come around and if he doesn't it's his loss.

Not me. I think he's a narcissistic clown. What strikes me about the guy is his unwillingness to stay in shape or work on his free throws. To him, it was always enough to be the best in the game, but he's never shown a passion for being the best he could be, and there's a big difference between those two things. If Shaq had Yao's work ethic, he truly would be the greatest player of all time, but he doesn't, and that's a reflection of his true character.

People like you are exact the reason that GARM and now even NBA Dish is unbearable. On a Houston Rockets board, you can be a fan of anyone. You can equal a rookie to 2 times MVP like Nash, or you can equal a young kid without winning anything to one of the all time best in NBA history, but if you support your own all star center, you have crossed the line, and you will be blamed for everything.

yet shaq played howard to a draw when they met...howard, or kobe for that matter, should be glad the cavs didn't get shaq this year... shaq runs his mouth and but he also backs it up on the court all his career...he would've sent howard and the magic fishing...

Why does he have to be an ass to a guy that wants to be like him? Just say that he'll never be as good as me, or say once he wins 4 rings come talk to me. Don't randomly twitter about it, and go out of your way to bash other players/coaches. Shaq has been doing this for years. I lost full respect after he insulted his teammates again when he left Miami.

Can you tell me the extent of what Shaq said on twitter about Howard? I looked around for it for a little while and I wasn't able to find anything else besides the Van Gundy/Howard baby.

I never said Howard was "just like Shaq". Nor did I ever say he was as good as Shaq. I said he plays like him. Meaning, both are big guys with superior strength and athletic ability that do things most guys their size can't do. Both guys get all their points close to the basket. Shaq had more moves around the basket and Howard is more accomplished defensively - those are an example of some of their differences. Let's remember that Howard still has a long way to go before he's fully developed.

By size I mean about 30 lbs. Yeah, that's a lot of weight that would make a big difference, and Shaq was completely unique in being able to carry that much weight/muscle and still be so agile, but let's not be ridiculous with the Yao/Kevin Love analogy.

You might have misinterpreted something there. I wasn't bringing Yao or his fans into anything. I was addressing one known YOF after being accused of never seeing Shaq play by said person. I'd usually ignore something like that but didn't feel like it at the time.

I never like Shaq ever since he played for Orlando, whe he showed disrespect to MJ with his negatvie statements.

It's not a coincidence that his number is 32, reverse of Jordan's 23.

Sorry folks but Dwight Howard is nowhere near the player Shaq was at his age. Altough he is an excellent finisher around the rim with superb athleticism, he has no low post game and that has been exposed in the Finals. Whenever he catches the ball he tries to attack the basket but has no postup game so he gets pushed out of the paint by Gasol or Bynum. Shaq a great set of moves including that devastating hop step and turnaround baby hook. His hands were incredible for a big man and he could easily pass out for double and triple teams to find the open shooter.

No, he's been that way his whole career. I've always been a fan of Shaq. He keeps things interesting, instead of the old "he's a good competitor blah blah blah." Plus, I met him when I was in middle school. He's such a nice guy and he gave me his autograph.

Isn't it all evident. Shaq at the same age would be averaging over 33 ppg and 15 rebounds in the finals (so would a few other top-tier center from 90s), especially against the Lakers overrated front line. This is what Shaq's number's look like at 20-24.

Damn, I almost forgot how nasty Shaq's stats were right when he came into the league. 30ppg on 60% shooting, 13rpg, and 3bpg in his second year...damn. Dwight who?
