I find a dead bird around my place about once every week or so, and I hear them hit windows all the time.

    Anyone know any prevention methods?

Where I used to work, there was this one bird who would smack the window every day...multiple times a day. We'd sit there and watch him. He'd fly in, hit the window HARD, and then stumble back to the tree. He's gather himself and do it all over again. It was pretty funny to watch.

About the only thing you can do is something to diminish the reflection, like a screen.

I don't know what kind of bush it is, but there is some kind of bush that my parents used to have. The birds would these little berries, and it would intoxicate them. It was kind of funny to see, but the downside is that they would often fly into the windows and sometimes get hurt.

Check the shrubbery near your house and see if there might some with berries. Those might be intoxicating the birds.

If you have these types of intoxicating berries, I'm sure there are some ClutchFans that would provide free removal. :D ;)

Can't you put stick-ons or some sort of additional stuff on that there window so they don't think they can fly through it?

Do you have something that resembles a prey to them inside where this window is? Stop walking around naked behind that glass, man. ;)

Paint targets on your windows, give em something to aim at.

I had this happen to me while I was driving on the highway at 70 mph. One moment I am cruising listening to my radio, the next bird parts and feathers all over my windshield.

I used windshield wipers and fluid to clean the mess up but it took about a minute for the fluid to turn light blue after a deep red color.

    Windshield 1 - Tweety Bird 0

(No rematch scheduled due to unforeseen circumstances.)

Use the google. There are stickers you can put on the windows so that the birds do not mistake the clear glass as open air.

Or just make your own I guess.
